Our party of 8 had a great stay here. Lots of room and comfort. We made good use of the pool and deck. Very Clean and well maintained. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful. While staying there we a boat trip to Corcovado - wonderful and several of our part went zip-lining at Baru. The birding was excellent.

Everything was perfect - STAFF FOOD PONDS POOL RIVER ACCOMODATIONS PEOPLE BEACH! We rented both villas and our whole family (and friends on occasion) had plenty of room. My husband and I stayed at Villa Paloma for 2 nights in February, 2011. The villa is charming. Sarah and Paul went out of their way to make our visit special. They have built beautiful villas which are quite unique. There were all sorts of lovely little touches, including champagne in the fridge when we arrived. The jacuzzi is a...

We are very happy with our spontaneous decision to stay here. We had spent 2 weeks up in dusty Santa Teresa/Mal Pais and needed to breathe some fresh air and see some wildlife. Found this place on trip advisor and we're very happy we did. Only spent 2 nights in Villa La Paloma, but it was spotless clean (unlike our...

We started planning to come back to this piece of paradise on our drive away last year. We loved both the villas and the Uvita area so much, we promised ourselves we'd come again soon. We were not disappointed. We have stayed in both the villas and loved them both. Sarah has a great eye for decor. They are equipped with...

Hard to find enough superlatives to describe our stay at villas de las aves. Wonderful hosts, fantastic location, great decor (we stayed in the Villa Paloma), stunning scenery, superb cooking. Was hard to drag ourselves away from the bird watching to visit other locations, but definitely worth walking some of the nearby beaches, doing the snorkeling trip to Cano Island,...

Villa de las Aves is a perfect place to stay if you have several days in Uvita. It is quiet, private and situated on a beautiful piece of property. The kitchen was great so that we could cook our own breakfast and coffee. We were able to walk to a nearby waterfall and swim, as well as use Villa as...

I don't have enough good things to say about "villa de las aves". I just returned from a week there with my 5 year old son and my new girlfriend and i'm almost afraid to write this review in fear it will be booked when I try and return. I have been traveling to Costa Rica for 12 years and...

Last week we stayed at Villas de Las Aves for three nights. Paul and Sarah ( the owners) simply added luxury to paradise. Nestled in the mountains only minutes from the beaches, they have created a beautiful get away retreat, overlooking the two creeks running down from the mountains above. Waking up to only the sounds of the running creek...
