I traveled to Mahabaleshwar in 12-14 February 2015 with my family and stayed for 1 night at Grand Resorts. The location is very good and near to the market. Bus stand is hardly 1-2 km and Venna lake is 2.5 km only. For the Arthurs seat and other points located, it is a bit far though. The ambiance is really good and you get a quiet and peaceful location to relax with your family. It has swimming pool which was functioning, although due to winter we did not use it. They have a buffet lunch and ala carte lunch served. The buffet lunch was good and value for money. The staff was courteous and well behaved. All the staff services were very quick and met expectations. We were well received by the reception. Also, the check out process went smooth. I liked the hotel and would recommend others too. However, due to super peak season, the room rates were quite high compared to the facilities, and not value for money. But during the low seasons, it is a very good place to go.

I was in grand resort in 2nd week of Jan 2013. Location is great..surrounded by forest. Mahabaleshwar's main market is less than 10 min on feet. Rooms are fantastic. service is good.
Very quite Location. beds and bathrooms are clean.
NOTE:
1. DO NOT BOOK FROM ANY 3rd party website like Yatra/cleartrip/etc. I booked from Yatra and i paid Rs 500 more per night than if i had booked directly contacting hotel.
so Contact the hotel directly for cheapest rates.
2. Food is less than average. Do not order food in resort. instead go to market which is less than 1 KM for any good restaurant.
3. When booking directly from hotel opt out of "all meals included package"

1) I had stayed here 3 years ago in Jan-2013 and i liked this hotel, so this time didnt think of anything else. 2) got very cheap deal on goibibo. 3) Location is about 1km (<10 min walking) from main market, still in the middle of forest. Very calm area. 4) Service was good. As I had booked online, when reaching there, just gave them my booking ID, my photo IDENTITY and it was done. Room was given as per booking. No trouble. Every morning they changed the bed linen and towels with freshly washed, clean and sparkling white other set. every night the room service came with teabags+sugar+milk powder to prepare bed tea in the morning using the electric kettle in the room. 5) Food & Drinks. Unfortunately, my booking included only breakfast, so no idea about quality of lunch or dinner. BUT my package included breakfast for which i received tokens enough for two of us for the period of stay. (no breakfast on check in day but brakfast for check out day is provided.). I was informed breakfast + Lunch + Dinner was buffet. We had breakfast on 2 days. first day was toast+butter, bread+ Butter, Batata-wada, Upama, Corn flex+ milk, tea, coffee. Second day was wada & upama replaced with Idli-Sambar & veg cutlet. Breakfast was of nice quality and good taste. (gave 3 stars because i dont know about lunch & Dinner. 6) Amenities: Pool, garden available. I did not use any of those. 7) cleanliness. 100% complete resort area including garden, reception, internal roads, rooms, curtains, bed, towels, bathroom- everything was clean. no spot anywhere. Excellent.!!

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for giving us an opportunity to serve you once again and for such a detailed review.t really helps our new guests to get a proper perspective about the resort. We would like to inform you that we have our own laundry in Wai so as to give our guests neat and clean linen whenever they require even though we are just a thirty one rooms resort. The only other one is one of the five star property and charge five times our tariff. We hope you will give us an opportunity to serve you again. Warm Regards, Amit Kumar

Excellent stay for family with Kids. Kids can enjoy slides, table tennis, badminton, carom or play cricket in open lawn. There is also a play area, but its not that clean , still kid can play some of the items there. Swimming pool is also there , though we did not use it as water was cold. There is trampoline and hammock as well. Food is good. Grandwoods are very nice rooms.cozy beds, clean bathrooms. You get room service as well. My only concern is for check in and check out time . Check in can be delayed by 1 hr and checkout by 1:30 hrs

My experience at Grand Resort was a pleasant one, the location is convenient, surrounding is serene, food is delicious served with courteous & polite staff... excellent service especially by Sahil, Zafar, Anil & Raju.
Only shortcoming would be hot water supply is limited to 7 - 10am.
Otherwise, Grand Resort is truly an excellent resort to spend your family holiday.
Highly Recommended.

We went to this resort few last year and had excellent stay. Food is very good. Location is also nice. If you want to pass the time with your family and relatives, it is an excellent place. Kids enjoyed this place. Market is little far, just a 10 min walk but it is better. Spacious location.

The Grand Resort Mahabaleshwar is a nice place with a friendly staff. We traveled and stayed at the hotel with two children and found the place and its staff to be very courteous and helpful.
The resort has the three meals covered as a part of their package and the food quality is decent and simple. The resort also has indoor and outdoor games facilities for kids and they enjoyed themselves. This is a good choice for a weekend get away if you want to move out of the usual routine for a quick short break.

A good and honest review from a guest who has travelled the world always peps us up.As Voltaire, the famous French writer has said “Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.” Thank you for your kind words, they do make a world of difference. Warm Regards, Amit Kumar
