Mahabaleshwar at its best and sweetest. For just over half a century, knowledgeable visitors have seen Hotel Dreamland as the ideal base and Best Place To Stay In Mahabaleshwar from which to enjoy Mahabaleshwar’s many pleasures. Dreamland is not just a hotel, but an entirely natural environment. Excellently-equipped hotel developments nestle among lush vegetables on 23 acres of land. More than 70% remains wooded and forested and includes our own organic vegetable farm on which we grow the tasty succulent vegetables for our rich vegetarian cuisine. Though centrally located at the heart of the township, Dreamland still reflects the serene calm that gives Mahabaleshwar its character.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel premises is really very good but the rooms need serious deep cleaning, spider nets and dust was noticed at many places in the rooms. Also some of the bathrooms and sanitary fittings need to be repaired or replaced. The another suggestion to the hotel management would be to tie up with local masseur both male and female instead of so called "SPA"; the reason to tie up with local masseur is that, in Mahabaleshwar, local massage services provided by the local masseurs is very famous and of good quality; also the locals would get push-up in their activities, if Hotel like Dreamland would back them up and tie up with them. This hotel has got a good dedicated place for SPA, so, instead of the current SPA services, which is very very expensive and the quality of its service is also not up to the mark, the hotel should tie up with local masseurs and allow them to use this place for providing their massage services, so that both hotel and locals would benefit and both will be in a win - win situation.

We have stayed there with family. We have selected super deluxe cottage..! Actually there are number of variations available for rooms. Super deluxe cottage is starting range.
Pros :
Complete resort area is very nice..calm and peaceful
ample space for parking
good children play area.
breakfast menu is also good.
Service is quick
Ambiance is also good
Good huge area for night walking in the resort.
Good Italian restaurant “Farmhouse Bistro” inside property . They have their homegrown veggies.
Gujrati thali is available for linch and dinner
Panjabi menu can get u in the room service but not in restaurant
Prominent location very near to Mahabaleshwar market , can go walking.
Cons :
Super deluxe rooms are very small in size
Window AC attached is very much noisy
Swimming pool is nice but water quality need to be improved.
Lessons learned:
So next time go for another room options than super deluxe rooms. As room size is very small.

Location fantastic.
Breakfast average.
They do not look after the driver. Driver is expected to sleep in car and shower outside. Most decent hotels in India will put the driver up in their quarters and treat them like human beings
Hot water only available for a few hours in the morning and evening.
I would not stay again as not what I expect from a luxury hotel

The hotel is in the heart of Mahabaleshwar town. It has a sprawling premises and a very quite ambiance. Overall the hotel is good, however, I found a few things missing and things that desperately need a change:
1. There is no travel desk in the hotel.
2. The staff at reception are not very helpful in guiding the tourists.
3. The cottages are very old fashioned, the curtains need a change and the bathrooms needs renovation.
4. The restaurant only serves Thali. There is no option for a la carte.
5. The hotel is not pro-tourist. It is more of an hotel for events like marriages, conferences etc.
The hotel has variety of cottages with Super Deluxe being the most inferior of the lot. The categorization of the cottages, is to an extent deceptive. The super deluxe cottage is neither super nor deluxe. It is a standard cottage.
Nonetheless, since we have visited it in the last week of December, they did conduct unique evening activities which were very good. An extra star is granted only because of those activities.

A big group of friends drove down to mahableshwar in December, and it was the best decision we could have made.
The property is huge, which means you can always find a spot to relax. We had rooms with sharing balconies, so we could all chill together, and the size of the rooms are massive as well!
Would definitely visit again!

We were looking for an excellent hotel for almost 5 nights, and that is when Hotel Dreamland came in as a recommendation. We checked online reviews and decided to go ahead with the booking.
The property is indeed a dream one, as the name suggests. Inside, it is humongous and spread over a vast area. The main reception area is at the center so you would need to take your car there after entering from the main gate. The receptionist was friendly and professional and helped us quickly check in to the resort. A good thing to note is that right from the moment you enter the main gate, you will see the lavish property since one category of the cottage rooms is right at the entrance.
We had chosen the classic room category since they included a balcony in the room as well. The rooms were right across the main swimming pool, though the balcony faced the garden area. The rooms were spacious and comfortable enough for even 4 people to stay. The bed was king-sized, and the mattress was soft and comfortable to sleep on. The bathroom had 2 door system. Entering the first one was the wash basin and the wardrobe. Entering the second door took you into the washroom and the bathroom. The room had a mini fridge and a full supply of tea coffee maker kits.
The balcony was exceptionally spacious, with a table and 4 chairs to sit outside. There was also a rack for hanging clothes if the need be. However, there was a solid nuisance of monkeys during the evening and early morning. Thus, it was risky to sit outside during those times. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and spacious. The breakfast spread was decent, though a few items, like Idli, got repeated on some days. But the breakfast tasted great especially the flavored milkshakes, and the live dosa counters were fabulous.
The swimming pool area was terrific. It also had a mini kiddies pool, sufficient loungers to sit on, and fresh towels. The executive cottages were on one end of the resort, in the innermost area, and they overlooked the valley. There was also a big lawn which, though at the end, fell into the valley but was great to view. The only problem we sometimes faced was the staff needing to be more active, mainly during breakfast.
But the property is impressive, well maintained, luxurious, and even had an electric charging station for cars to be charged. Thus, it is one of Mahabaleshwar's best properties in the primary market area.

Had an amazing meal at the in-house bistro. Fresh salads and wood-fired pizzas were yummy and made with perfection. Special mention for their pastas which were delicious.
Best part of the meal was the dessert which was jafa mousse. It looked out of this world and was yummmyyy!
Their service was prompt and extremely helpful

Amazing gujrati thali.
A lot of variety.
All delicious and well cooked.
Fresh. Local produce.
The kheer and jalebi are outstanding.
Afcourse the menu changes every day and the price is 600 Rs .
I used to visit regularly as a child until 1977.
I was really surprised that they have retained the quality after 50 year's. Kudos.
