Yesterday I visited Pratagad fort .While travelling we saw dhaba on mahabaleshwar- pratapgad road (12 km from mahakaleshwar towards pratapgarh and 7 km from pratapgarh towards mahakaleshwar) Taste is awesome .If u want delicious food and tasty food this is unique place in that root .So enjoy

The Great Escape (From Heat & Humidity, Mumbai)

To escape the heat & humidity of Mumbai I had to make a plan. Armed with my Scorpio and shoestring budget I initiate my plan. I narrowed down to Talwalkar Serene Cottages at Bonderwadi, Taluka Mahabaleshwar. The reason being, I got a package deal for four of us for three nights at Rs13500/- only i.e Rs4500 per night with breakfast included. Another reason to select Talwalkars was that it is equidistant from both Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani which gave me the flexibility to tour both places at ease.But the last and most convincing reason is that, it is located within Koyna National reserve forest and has not been reviewed yet. The stay was great and served its purpose that I was looking for, hence the things I liked are: (i) Quiet,peace environment (ii) proximity to both Mahabaleshwar & Panchgani (iii) Clean rooms (iv) Good staff (v) great view from my room which was top floor of Samruddhi bhavan. But I guess all their rooms have a good valley view. The things I did not like (but are common to most budget hotels in India): (i) Staff i.e room service or any staff whatsoever not available between 2330hrs-0800hrs. (ii) Washbasin tap wobbly and kept moving. (iii) Ceiling fan was noisy and not problem not rectified (iii) FOOD - my biggest regret, they do not have a kitchen and you are in their complete mercy. Options Vegetarian Thali or egg thali and nothing else, Breakfast was better but limited to omlettes, bread, poha, upma. (iV) The TV power socket was naked and guests are at risk of being electrified at our Samruddhi Bhavan room, cottage no:3. This was not repaired. Well this is my feedback of Talwalkars hence make your own decision if you choose to stay. If you ask me their are better options available nearby.…

A Value for money accomadation

A very well maintained property with a great view. The breakfast is freshly prepared and very good.What sets this hotel apart from the others you get in this price range is its emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.

Screws up booking

Booked a room here through cleartrip and got confirmation. At last moment got a call from hotel saying they never confirmed this booking and cleartrip has confirmed the booking from their end. Finally I had to cancel my booking. Both hotel and cleartrip blaming each other. Finally I had to cancel my booking. Beware while booking. I had to cancel my trip as well since no other hotel was not available. Have incurred huae loss of cancelling the travel tickets as well. Be careful...
