Tapola Hotels & Resorts Sakha Agro Tourism- Tapola is located in Harchandi village - a small hamlet about 10 kms from Tapola. Tapola is less than an hour’s drive away from Mahabaleshwar. Famously called mini Kashmir, the main attraction in Tapola is the koyna backwaters. Sakha Agro tourism, Tapola is different from any other resorts in Tapola or Tapola hotels. We don’t just offer an accommodation option but a completely different holiday experience. There are lots to do at Sakha Agro Tourism Centre - Tapola and there will not be a single dull moment during your stay at this resort in Tapola. Take some time out to enjoy the gentle breeze of dawn laden with the fragrance of the land, feel the morning dew, take a walk in the farms, listen to the chirping of the birds, go for swim in the evening and gaze at the thousands of stars on a beautiful moonlit night while enjoying a barbeque and campfire. You can do all this a and lots more at Sakha Agro Tourism. Keeping aside the technicalities of the term, agrotourism is a concept that brings back the idea of 'native place' back to the urban souls fettered in the concrete jungles. Enjoy some fresh air away from the cities in a rustic locale and experience the simplicity of the rural life style first hand. Activities : Swimming in backwater, Boating, Kayaking, Trekking, BBQ, Music & Bonfire. Accommodation : 8 Deluxe Rooms ( Mountain/Vallley Views) ( A/C and Non A/C Both). Hill Top Tents : 4 Hill Tents with Attached western toilets, hot & cold running water system, battery back-up. Only Bsnl Network Works in our location. We went to Sakha Nivas Agro Tourism in 3rd week of January. It takes about an hour from Mahabaleshwar. Though distance is not much, the roads are narrow and rough in some stretches, hence you have to go slow. But its all compensated for, by the exotic scenery offered by the Sahyadri ranges. We were greeted by Mr. Vijay himself. The resort itself is very simple but spacious and has a beautiful view of the valley. The rooms were neat and clean. The food is home-made and we liked it a lot. There is a barbeque in the evening and we were offered both veg and nonveg options. As for the activities, the primary attraction for us was the Koyna backwaters. The water is at few minutes walking distance through the village. The water is so pristine and clear that you just have to stand still on the edge and you will see small fishes swimming by. We were taken for a nice boat ride, then later we did kayaking and swimming. Mr. Vijay ensures that everyone wears a life jacket and himself accompanies the guests at all times to ensure safety. We had a fun mud-bath on the river banks. In the morning we went for a short trek on the backside mountains. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and we would love to revisit especially in the monsoons since there would be much more to do. My suggestion would be, to not have any false expectations and go with an open mind to truly enjoy this place.

We had visited in the month of April 2022
It's around 160km from Pune and takes around 5hrs to reach the resort
We have visited many places in last many years and I would say this place is way above normal places
Try to take package deal for a stay with family
The owner is very humble/friendly and down to earth and there is not a single point of restriction at this place which most of the hotels resorts have.
My family enjoyed the stay .Rooms are clean ,neat and well maintained
The view is fantastic in the morning .The package includes stay food(breakfast ,lunch, dinner) along with boating ,swimming in the koyna back waters ,fishing and kayaking
There is a morning trek which is also exciting and makes you feel close to nature.
The food is very good and prepared as per your tastes.the owners family took care of my child's taste requirements and provided additional requests like milk .juices and other small things
Barbeque in the evening is awesome .They provided different levels of spicy food based on me and my kids requirment. My daughter was provided with less spicy food .I appreciate the owners hospitality nature .he takes care of almost everything and gives u a feeling of family environment.
Absolutely wonderful place and would give 5/5 :)

I am very happy to share our pleasant experience at Sakha Agro Niwas for our recent trip. We were group of 24, mixed group of kids, young and elderly members.
I visited Sakha Niwas 6 years back and had good memories of the hospitality, so proposed to take our group to this place again.
I must say that our experience this time was better than last time. Uma and Vijay has expanded and developed the place nicely. We choose 4 tents and 2 rooms, all are newly built. Very spacious and clean. Each one has connected bathrooms with 24/7 hot water. We were well received and served hot food. In the evening, we enjoyed the boating in Koyana back waters.
Ms Uma is very good in taking care of the guest. It gives homely feeling. She always check the feedback and ask for suggestions for next days food course. We did change the breakfast and lunch menu, she happily fulfil our wish.
Early morning mountain trekking with Vijay was thrilling.
On 31st night, new year celebration was awesome, DJ music and dance floor was well set, we dance and played game till late night.
All of my friends and family members were happy and satisfied with the services.
I recommend this place for the people who loves outing in nature, away from city busy life, mobiles and internet world.

We visited this place in Feb 2022 and had an incredible experience. The hosts are very nice and hospitable. The rooms are good and hygienic. They also have other attractions like boat ride on koyna backwaters(Must Try) & kayaking. Food here is home cooked and tastes amazing. Meals provided were good in both quantity and quality. Loved the strawberry and cream, chicken barbeque and strawberry milkshake. They have their own strawberry farm and u can buy strawberries at a very minimal rate. All in all an incredible experience. Will definitely visit this place again and recommend it to others as well.

Mr and Mrs More, his mother and his team are the best host i have come across.

From booking till the checkout everything was seamless and was arranged as per the things which were promised to us prior to booking.

Rooms were clean. Food was homely and delicious.

They will make sure that their home feels more like your own home which is located in the mountains, near the river bank and in the lush green forest.

I visited the place with my wife, my sr citizen Parents, my sister and her childrens and they made sure that everyone is comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the place and definitely recommend them for stay with family.

Located in Tapola near Mahabaleshwar. Beautiful view of the valley and the hills. Peaceful location. Only BSNL works. and no other network. The place offers WiFi connection but is a bit slow. Koyna river is at walking distance. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. They had two double beds. Polite staff.

If you are planning for holidays amidst the beauty of nature, then you can't get a place better than Tapola. A village of not more than 100 people, surrounded by natural beauty is a perfect holiday destination. River, hills, valleys and every thing that you can imagine is present

If you are planning to go to Tapola, don't worry for your stay. Staying at Sakha Niwas will add to your delight. Mr. Vijay from Sakha Niwas will make you feel at home and will be the best guide for your tour. Even for a moment you won't feel that you are staying at a resort. The people here are very friendly and enthusiastic, that keeps you energetic as well to make out the most of your trip.
I'd say It was one of the best trips I've ever had. Thank you Sakha Niwas :)

Went to this place in November 14 with my motorcycle group and then again in Jan with my wife.
Vijay More and his wife are amazingly hospitable and flexible with their offerings, Food is basic bit delicious. Soft touches in terms of hand soap and mosquito coils (were not needed) is a good eye for detail. His staff (locally employed humble village people trained with basic hospitality knowledge) took us to their strawberry plantations a short hike away. The boat ride and the swim in the koyna backwaters was awesome fun both times. This place has such a good vibe that time literally stands still here. No mobile phone network (apart from BSNL) no TV but no scope of getting bored at all when you are in nature. He has a couple of tents and allows you to pitch your own also (like we did) helped us with matreses and pillows.
After crossing mahableshwar on the way to Tapola the last 3km to this village Harchandi have bad roads (easily doable by motorbikes and cars with good ground clearance) A great place to relax and have a chilled out time.

Sakha Niwas Agro Tourism is family run and cool place for small families or groups to have a great time along with lots of fun activities - few activities like swimming, boating, tracking, sight seeing of koyana backwater, along with nice home cooked food including breakfast, tea, all with a authentic village flavour. It also includes a strawberry farm visit. Its ideal place if you are looking for some peace of mind from your daily routine lives.
