This is our second stay here, we had stayed here last year and loved it so came back for a short holiday again. This is really the best place to stay in mahabaleshwar, you can have the view of venna lake from your balcony. The best part is the food, cleanliness, amazing views and the hospitality at its best. Special thanks to pradeep the hk boy who was always ready for us to fufill all our requirements. All the staff are very courteous, always smiling face and ready to process all reasonable requests.

It was really a bad experience booking hotel. Just besides the hotel there was a alcohol shop. Wifi was not working. bedsheet has a small whole. TV was missing. Even one of the tap was broken Receptionist was very arrogant.

Very well maintain! Clean room, nice aminnety, well care for children's,excellent quality of food, all the staff where very helpful, beautiful room view! Near by vena lake, market, over all excellent experience, must stay in hotel! For sure next will come agine!

This is my second stay in this resort. I had a different experience this time. The resort URGENTLY needs a review of their Food Menu. There are no options other than Potato based vegetable mains. I would advice travellers to take just Breakfast plan and not to take dinner one. The location is amazing, right next to venna lake and very close to all happenings. It's calm and quite, even though it is on the main road, 100 mtrs inside. The balcony is a very good place to spend evenings. Mornings would be a bit warm. Swimming pool was not cleaned and isolated. No life guards or anybody could be found. Indoor games station has Chess, Carrom Board and a table Tennis one. Some paid services like FoosBall or Air Hockey would be a better addition. Rooms are clean. Linen is old but clean. THERE IS NO 24 HOUR HOT WATER. It is a solar heated one. So after evening lot is used by guests, night bath will be in freezing cold water. This will need immediate attention. Staff is courteous, but not polished. I can live with that. No WiFi available, at least not inside my room. They changed the password as soon as they shared one to me. Did not like that one... Credit card machine did not work on payment settling. I had to pay via a website which i was not comfortable to do payment through, as I had to use their computer and WiFi which I try to avoid while doing payments. Other than for these small issues, I stand at GOOD , VALUE FOR MONEY...…

Hotel is located near to the lake, staff is good, decent veg food. the kids loved the swing in the balcony. Only veg food. Nice view from all the rooms. We asked for a heater they charged 150/- rental per day for it. WiFi only at reception area. Only minus is no 24 hours hot water & 9 am check out to early.

If you do not need consistent wifi... Don’t need good phone signal... Don’t need non-veg during your stay at the hotel... Don’t need hot water before 7AM or after 10AM... Don’t want your food or snacks to be fairly priced... Then, Sumanraj hotel is the right place to stay!

1. Don't Choose if you are an non-vegetarian. 2. No outdoor playing area. 3. They know only Hindi. We can't explain anything in english. 4. Very bad swimming pool. Dirty water filled in that swimming pool. 5. Finally, Mahabaleswar and this hotel are not worthy to enjoy.

Had a good time being at this hotel. Plus points : Staff is good, location is very nearer to Venna lake, great for morning walkers, rooms are clean. Negative points : Food is okay okay, for outside cleanliness a little care needed. You can plan nearby places like Mapro plant, venna lake, city, mapro garden, Mahabaleshwar temple. Evening Rest at serene place near Lake is just amazing..

We had a lovely stay at Suman Raj Resort (29th June 2018), it was a planned trip for family outing specially for Monsoon. Yes, the time was perfect and climate was mind blowing. Hotel is close to Venna Lake and on main road which is a plus point and has peace of mind. We opted for room with balcony (sit out area); Rooms are well maintained. Breakfast spread is limited but tasty/good quality. Ordered food in room service which to our surprise was delicious. Staff is very prompt and helpful. Definitely will came back to Suman Raj, Mahabaleshwar. Highly recommended...
