The property is located away from town in a peaceful place surrounded by greenary. The cottages are good band well furnished. The restaurant provides good menu. There is no bar, but the property allows you to bring your own drings. It is not posh , but worth the cost.
Beautiful site. Greenery everywhere. Best view from the cottage huts. most friendly staff. Pets allowed everywhere except inside pool. Food is just OK. Secluded from hustle bustle of main city which was a plus for us.
The hotel provided us with a GST bill. But the GST number is not correct. It looks like they are not registered with the Maharashtra GST.... We could not claim the refund of GST and had to incur loss. No body is responding on the mobile phone numbers mentioned on the website. We tried several times but no body picks up the call.
Forest County Resort was, appropriately, inside a forest. By the time we reached, it was night & the route had seemed a little scary. But the Resort itself was well - lit & seemed welcoming. The rooms were a cottage kind. It was sparsely furnished - just the basics. But the AC worked fine which was a relief. For dinner the first night, it seemed nothing was available except Dal Khichdi. The breakfast buffet was decent however - Chhole Bhature, Fried Egg, Omelet, Sabudana Khichdi, Uthapam. But the breakfast area was quite cramped. The location may be a consideration for many, specially if you don't have your own vehicle. The resort is almost half an hour away from the Mahabaleshwar town & public conveyance may not be easily available. Also, we didn't get a cellular network in the resort.…
Stayed for 2 nights in Imperial Rooms. Rooms, interiors, balcony, beds etc look very old. Design of room very weird. Sheets, towels seem dirty, zero amenities, non professional housekeeping. Overall get a very oyo rooms vibe and not at all like a resort charging 5-6k per month. Had called twice to get a room with good view but the balcony had a huge pillar in the middle n was on the first floor looking into the parking lot. Food was also not up to the mark at all, ate the later meals at another place. Their property does have good cottages n places with a good view but all the imperial rooms are in very bad condition. One of the rare times I was this disappointed with the type of room, especially since charge was high.
