Me and a couple of friends were recommended that we should stay at Piedra del Mar when in Puerto Lopez, we had a few expectations but the quality of the service that we received was excellent. We got to know Marcia, she's the head of the hotel and told us everything we need to know about the zone, she helped...

Close to the beach, not to expensive, welcoming and friendly owner. Own bar to provide cold beer and free breakfast, too. The owner helped us to book a guided tour to isla-de-la-plata (if i do remember the name correctly) which was interesting and fun. The rooms were clean, A/C worked. Storing our backpacks for a day after checking out was...

Sure, Mandala is a great place, but it is 3 km out if town. Of all the places on or near the malecon, Piedra del Mar is the nicest. Gorgeous rooms, friendly owners, Santiago and Marcia even a cute pool.

We loved our stay at Hotel Piedra del Mar! It's half a block from the beach, and close to tons of restaurants. Our favorite parts of staying here were the breakfast, the friendly staff and all the plants and animals! It's a beautiful space to spend time and hang out after exploring during the day. Our room was comfy and...

The property was amazing! When we walked in we were greeted by a luscious canopy of plants that the owners have grown, it felt like its own private oasis within the little town of Puerto Lopez. The owner was there in the morning to check us in and show us around his property. His english was very good and some...

This cutesy hotel has a PERFECT location, very friendly staff, affordable/good value and super cute in general. We loved the decorations and the garden dining area next to the pool. We felt very comfortable and welcome throughout our whole stay. The breakfast was great every morning and free purified water was a huge plus to avoid having to buy plastic...

This visit was worth it. The owner speaks english which is a huge plus in ecuador and the service is really helpful and comforting. The rooms are clean, there is a cosy swimming pool and after a long day at isla de la plata you can chill out in the hammock area. I definetely recommend this!

Me and my friend very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Beautiful rooms, good shower, delicious breakfast and lovely swimming pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Puerto Lopez. The hotel organizes tours to Isla de la Plata and whale watching tours at a low price.

We extended our stay here since the hotel was so nice. Santiago was really helpful with information about the area, speaking very good English. The bathroom and floors were cleaned every day and the sheets were replaced every couple of days. There is a fridge for communal use and free drinking water. The bolones for breakfast were the best I've...

“The top floor room is very quiet and livable. It has a skylight so it has great lighting and warm beds at night. Also a view to the ocean from the patio! The hotel is also nice and quiet because it is just off the main boardwalk so it escapes the noise of the cabanas!”
