Just returned from a fantastic visit to the Outdoor Capital of the UK, Fort William and Lochaber. I spent two nights at The Heathers Bed and Breakfast, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants fantastic hospitality, luxurious rooms, hearty local produce breakfasts and amazing views of the mountains and the loch. I was on business in the area, but...

The B&B managed by Liz and Andrew is located on a hill with a fantastic view on the lake. The rooms large, very nicely decorated with a very hospitable atmosphere. Liz and Andrew have created a very hospitable atmosphere with an excellent breakfast!

Just spent a night at The Heathers. Andrew and Liz were exceptional hosts - even providing loads of information beforehand by internet to help us plan our visit to the area. The house is immaculately kept with beautiful, well tended gardens. Skylight looking out on backyard mountain in bathroom was a treat! Lovely views from every angle. Lovely, very comfortable,...

Liz and Andrew were attentive and welcoming hosts. Good suggestions and helpful with interesting routes around the area. We even discovered we had a mutual friend! Good facilities in the rooms, and even saw red deer on the hill behind.

Of the many places we stayed in the Highlands and Islands, this was the best. In spite of a too early arrival ( 4pm seeming the suitable time) we were warmly welcomed; our hosts sensibly suggested we go to arrange our evening meal at a local establishment before settling in. On our return we were given tea and cakes on...

I researched widely on the Internet before deciding on The Heathers and I must say I was very pleased with myself! The location is lovely. You are not hemmed in by lots of other B&Bs so there is a sense of isloation. We had the double room with a superb view of the Loch Lochy. The toilet window overlooked the...

A beautifully kept B&B in a lovely position. Great breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful hosts who are particularly keen to tell you all about their B&B, its history, and their own experiences. To us, they seem slightly less interested in their guests experiences, often totally ignoring our comments. But they sure can talk!! However, despite the personality quirks of the...
