I stayed 2 nights as a solo traveler and would happily return to this beautiful location. I arrived by train via the West Highland Line and the owner picked me and two other guests up at the train station. Upon arrival I was shown to my room and offered tea and a snack. My room was small well-appointed and quiet....

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. If you are visiting the commando monument between 12 and 3pm and needing a bite to eat you'd be mad to miss it! Home-made soups, sandwiches, burgers and of course scones. Good coffee. Tables all beside large windows looking out to mountains, a mossy glen and stream.

A lovely place to stay and an exceptional place to eat. We stayed one night before boarding a boat, but enjoyed it so much that we immediately booked a return meal for our final night on board. Food is of a high quality. Staff are informal and friendly, but well trained. Views from the dining area are beautiful. If going...

We had dinner at the Old Pines Restaurant after a long day of hiking. Food and wine were fabulous. Ken was also kind enough to drive us back to our B&B after dinner (as we were hiking the Great Glen Way and didn't have a car). Thanks to Ken and Imogen for a lovely evening.

This is a lovely restaurant in a really pretty setting. The food is well priced and really delicious. I had the fish which was perfectly cooked while my husband had a very tasty chicken and chorizo dish. The restaurant is attached to a hotel and being nosey, we asked if we could look around - the staff happily obliged. We've...

We last visited Old Pines ten years ago, and 3 years before that. When it was reputed to have the best wine list in Scotland along with great food. Its changed. It still has that great view of course and its wonderfully quiet there. The food is still good and the staff are well trained and attentive. But there's just...

We only stayed at this place for one night on the way to Isle of Skye. I wish we could stay there longer. The hotel is beautiful in the beautiful area. The restaurant overlooks the Ben Nevis mountain. The surrounding area makes this place the right place to relax. The service from the staff was excellent. Easy check in and...

We have just finished traveling around the U.K. And the Old Pines was by far our favorite accommodation. Everything from our welcome, to the clean, modern comfort of our rooms was wonderful. The views were beautiful and it was so peaceful! Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Even with two young children we found it so relaxing. Wished we could...

Stopped overnight at the hotel on our family trip in Highlands and had great reception with complementary tea and coffee. Waiting/lounge area is set up lovely and very cosy. Attention from staff was excellent. And the view to the mountains is a bliss. Reason I am giving 4 star rating is because I would have expected food to be tastier....

We arrived later than expected at the Gairlochy top lock on the Caledonian canal with an extremely hungry crew (Wife and 2 kids!). I called the Old pine which was the nearest restaurant I could find on Trip Advisor but was still 2 miles away. Having arrived on a boat we had no means of getting to the restaurant particularly...
