Stayed for 4 nights 3 adult, 3 children in Moonpenny cottage. We were visiting family and friends in Barnsley and Manchester. We enjoyed the comfortable and spacious cottage. Comfy beds, plenty of kitchen equipment. There was tea, coffee, milk and cakes on arrival. Sally was really helpful and took time out at a busy time, lambing, to show the children...

We stayed here for three nights. We had a very warm welcome. We were traveling with our daughter who has numerous disabilities. The cottage is in the middle of a working farm and you see all the goings on of farm life. On the first morning we were allowed to witness lambs being born. On the last night I was...

We took the family to the Michaelmas cottage. It is beautifully clean and very spacious for the family of four and a 3 year old. Nice touch to receive some cake, tea and coffe on arrival and really pleasant hosts. The only reason for not a five stars, is that wireless was very weak and thus intermittent, the literature was...

Thanks for those lovely comments. I will go through our leaflets ASAP and get them up to date. The internet can be slow at times which is one of the drawbacks of living in the countryside. As for the large chair! I took it to pieces last Autumn with the intention of recovering it, Need I say more!!

Stayed over bank holiday weekend with friends. They'd organised everything for our needs and left us cookies, tea bags and sugar for our arrival. The place was clean and tidy and comfy for our weekend. 2 bedrooms sleeping 2 each and a sofa bed sleeping 2. Living room on a mezzanine level which was nice. Parking for 2 cars out...

We chose Lazy Daisy's as it was close to the site of a family gathering. We stayed in Daisy Cottage with our young terrier. It's compact but perfectly adequate for 2. The cottage had everything we needed. Lots of hot water, lovely and warm and very quiet even though both cottages attached were occupied too. There is a super view...

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Michaelmas Cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend a holiday here to anyone looking to explore this beautiful location. The cottage was well equipped, exceptionally clean and has stunning views of the countryside. The family who live on this working farm are very friendly and helpful. My daughter...

Having travelled to Lazy Daisy's by public transport, our first glimpse of Sally was as she flagged down the bus at the end of the lane to the farm. After showing us to Daisy Cottage, where Easter cakes and supplies for making tea and coffee were waiting, she left us to settle in before returning to give us a tour...

The best part of our short stay wasn't the excellent standard of accommodation, not even the surrounding countryside and the many attractions which exceeded our expectations, but the attitude and approach of our hosts. The children (twins just under three years old) were really excited by the access they had to the farm animals when, despite the pressures of running...

Our first visit to this place was in 2010 so were looking forward to our 2nd visit staying for a few days over the New Year in the Moonpenny cottage. Again it was a lovely treat to find a huge xmas tree, wonderful lemon cake & bottle of fizz on our arrival. Although we enjoyed our time there with our...

Thank you for taking the time to review Moonpenny cottage. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay over the new year. We will definitely look at the knives and put a mop and bucket back in the cottage. Whilst it my not be possible or appropriate to put more modern furniture in the lounge its made me think about...
