We were visiting family in the area and based on the reviews were looking forward to our stay. To be fair it was easy to book and the landlady indicated that breakfast would not be available as she would be away on the morning, but that nevertheless we were welcome to stay. That was fine with us. Plus points here...

We booked into here very last minute as we were seeing family who were staying around 10 minutes away. The lady who greeted us was lovely, very friendly and very welcoming. We arrived at 12 and were able to check in straight away. Our room was a great size and even had a lovely little balcony which overlooked the sea!...

Great place to stay and we were really looked after. Heather made it easy to book and was very accommodating with our late arrival. Room 5 is huge. 15'x18' maybe. I expect the other rooms are equally big. The breakfast is brilliant. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, and cooked breakfast. We didn't need lunch! 5 min slow stroll to beach and...

We decided we'd visit a favourite aunt, who owns a caravan in Hornsea. But when we 'phoned to make arrangements, we discovered that her daughters were already with her. They still wanted us to visit, and as her daughters are two of my favourite cousins, we were happy to go. So my wife, the internet researcher extraordinaire, came up with...

We stayed here in August. We had a two night stay with our children. The guest house was very clean and the rooms were very spacious. The owner was very friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was a full english breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts and toast, very nice. We had a very quiet nights sleep. The rooms are...

we have stayed at the Acorn on many occasions over the years and every time we have received excellent caring service. The breakfast is always cooked to order and is extensive. It is well located for the town and beach. Car parking is on the street but in Hornsea it is not a problem

We booked a double room with en-suite and we got a lovely spacious room. Communication with Heather was excellent and she replied to emails very promptly and helpfully. We were greeted by her and her friendly dog and shown up to the room, the room was nice but it could be improved with more casual seating area or a sofa....

Stayed one night in room 3, very spacious and clean with coffee making , wifi, good bath and also nicely decorated. Breakfast choice is amazing, delicious home cooked breakfast, yogourts, nuts, fruits etc. Cycled here on transpennine trail and bikes can be stored securely. It's about 2 min cycle from end of the trail and 5 min walk to beach...
