This is a newly renovated hotel set in a beautiful location between Matlock and Matlock Bath. Bar, restaurant, breakfast room and bedrooms all very comfortable. I did find it a little strange that there were only three coat hangers in the wardrobe for two people yet five hooks on back of bathroom door...however, that is not a complaint, just a...

My time in the hotel and awake was very short as I was staying here whilst at a friends wedding. I was very impressed with how helpful Wendy (Manager) was and how accommodating they were with my early checkin request. I arrived at 13:00 and sat in the bar for 10 mins whilst the staff finished cleaning the room. The...

Welcoming staff who made sure we were comfortable and knew how everything worked. The restaurant was intimate and the menu good and well executed. Our top floor attic room was adequate with space cleverly planned and quiet considering we were on the main road. Recommend for short stay in that area

Pop in for a spot of lunch with my girlfriend and friends, walked into the beautifully set restaurant, we were told when seated that it was the new menu ran under a new chef. Looking at the menu everything everything looked great and there was plenty of choice. I had the peppered chicken and black pudding, the sauce was perfect,...
