I spent three nights here. I was in Ireland for two weeks and all of the rest of the nights we stayed in hotels. This was a refreshing change. This house is tucked away in the country with breathtaking views of the countryside and water yet it is only a quick 10 minute drive to Dungarvan. Eileen and her husband...

As we arrived it felt like we were returning to visit a favourite member of the family, Eileen made us welcome from the moment she opened the door to her home. Our bedroom was well appointed with all the facilities you require - and more! Books, a tea tray with chocolate biscuits, comfortable bed and spacious shower. A pot of...

This is not like staying in a normal B&B - it is like visiting somebody's home. Eileen certainly goes to great lengths to make your visit memorable and welcoming. We visited the area for the Tour of Waterford cycle and therefore needed an early breakfast which even at 7am was wonderful. We just wished that we could have had longer...

Gortnadiha lodge is everything one could expect from a stay in the Irish countryside: beautiful landscape, quiet, peaceful, great food, and the friendliest people (and dogs) you could hope to meet. I stayed in the upstairs Chinese room and slept very well. Eileen even picked me up at the bus stop in Dungarvan and then brought me back in the...

Our hosts , Eileen and Tommy Harty, warmly welcomed us into their home where we reveled in the lush pastoral setting, gorgeous gardens, view of Dungarvan Bay, and lovely ground floor suite. For three mornings, we enjoyed a beautifully set dining table and a bountiful breakfast—traditional Irish, fresh fruit and juices, home-prepared sauces and jams to drizzle on freshly baked...

The downstairs double room (which we had stayed in previously),has been extended and redecorated. It is now on a par with a 5 star hotel with its new en-suite and spacious walk in shower. The home made scones, jams and myself were all of the highest quality and tasted delicious. The choice of items for breakfast is exceptional and everything is...

Very warm welcome by the owners. Beautiful situated on a hill. Large private garden (horses & cows) where you can see the coastline. Clean and large room. Breakfast was superb with e.g. fresh fruit, pure apple juice and a nice selection of local produced cheese. The cooking was great as well. We loved the friendly dogs also ;-) My advice:...

We stayed in 8 different B&Bs on our trip, all of them recommendable, most of them very good overall. But this one takes the top spot by miles and miles! PROS - The Surroundings: Including a quite big estate and a farm, set on a slope overseeing the Dunarvan bay, it makes for a great drive and view. - The...

Absolutely fantastic couple. We arrived far too early after an early ferry and a late night at a wedding but we were greeted so warmly, offered tea and coffee, and made to feel right at home until our room was ready so could get some sleep to recover. Cannot compliment the breakfast highly enough, all local produce, local cheeses, garden...
