We booked the New Years Special including 1 night, dinner and breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful. We were given room 164 which was located on a side corridor of the hotel and only accessible after crawling up 25 squeaky narrow steps on the 1st floor. This tract containing rooms 160 to 169 was absolutely appalling, the room looked...

4 of us spent 5 days here in December on a coach trip. Yes it could do with a spruce up but it was spotlessly clean, the food was good and the staff were excellent. They couldn't be more helpful or friendly. The band on New Years Eve was great and created a lovely party atmosphere. If it had a...

Small hotel with a nice welcome. The room itself is basic and could do with some updating. The same with the corridors, more lighting would be a consideration. Had a good sleep and breakfast was fine, couldn't really fault it Overall, i wouldn't stay more than one night as it seems to cater for passers through and not a hotel for...

2016 and staying in a hotel that still believes it's 1970. Checked in and told to take lift to first floor, walk along corridor to room 164, up very steep stairs to room. Lucky we were good on our feet. Well the room, hmmmm stains on walls, dirty grey net curtains, cigarette burns and dead fly on them. Function room...

Our break to Ireland was for 3 nights only. We arrived at the hotel after 9pm and were taken in for dinner whilst our luggage was taken to our room. The room we were allocated was at the rear of the hotel and we were pleasantly surprised when we entered as it was a large family room with a lovely...

If you want modern boutique style hotel this is not for you.The decor is old fashioned, think seventies and you will have it .The bathrooms and bedrooms are spotlessly clean if a little faded to say the least. All the staff are really helpful and friendly , and go the extra mile to help make a stay there really homely...

A nicely situated hotel near the harbour. The rooms are rather tired looking and could do with updating but were quiet and comfortable. The food was good but the servings are very small and are obviously strictly portion controlled with for example three sprouts and one boiled potato with the meat. However the quality and cooking of the food was...

On a "Just Go" coach break for 3 nights. Arrived very late for a 9.30 dinner and the staff were brilliant, food very good too. Breakfast as expected from reading other reviews was cereal, toast and a fried plate of 2 small sausages, an egg and a rasher of bacon, tea and coffee, except for the trip home where we...
