There is wonderful hospitality and delicious food. Great peace and quiet as the Guesthouse is away from traffic and other noise. Gertie is passionate about cooking and Pat is a fund of interesting stories.

This was a return visit to Kilcannon House for us, having last stayed there several years ago. And it was, if possible, even better than we'd remembered! Pat & Gertie Ormond could not have been more genuinely welcoming or more thoughtful. Our room (a spacious family room, overlooking the garden, with an equally spacious en-suite, overlooking the pristine original farm-yard)...

Our hosts are what made this stay so special. Left feeling like family. Pat and Gertie (and, of course, Mac) are so warm and welcoming. Not only is Gertie an amazing cook (our fresh cod dinner upon our arrival was the best meal we had during our two weeks in Ireland - and we had some pretty wonderful meals!), but...

Staying at a bed and breakfast, the hosts always seem welcoming and the accommodations are usually lovely, but this jewel deserves five stars hands-down. From the moment I pulled in to the yard it felt so comfortable and welcoming. Gertie and Pat were superb. My room was large and beautiful with a great view - the ensuite was large as...

I highly recommend a stay with Gertie and Pat. They are the sweetest couple, so friendly and knowledgeable, and so welcoming. I loved our room, it was spacious and clean and the bathroom is modern, clean and everything works! Gertie's breakfasts are delicious, and conversation with them both is delightful. I hope to go back soon.

Beautiful 32nd Wedding Anniversary holiday in a beautiful location. The guest house was superb and the food sublime. Honestly, try the porridge for breakfast!! Gertie and Pat were superb hosts and the accommodation first class. The room was huge and really beautiful plus we had access to the garden and a private sitting room - although Pat and Gertie joined...

Our family enjoyed a wonderful trip to Ireland and we stayed at lovely B&Bs and guesthouses but Kilcannon House was the best of all. Pat and Gertie have a gracious home and a warm welcome for all. Gertie's breakfasts and afternoon/evening teas with homemade desserts are to die for. Pat's knowledge of Irish history, the region and Irish music kept...

We are just back from celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary in Dungarvan - we stayed at the private cottage onsite at Kilcannon House. It's built in a converted stone stable and is very charming and comfortable. Best of all, our dog was welcomed as part of the family and had a great time exploring the secure courtyard area with...

This was our second stay in Kilcannon house and was just as wonderful as the first. We went down with my husband's parents and stayed in the east wing, in two very large rooms with really comfortable beds - in fact we slept much later than expected.
