My husband and I met another couple in Florence and travelled to La Crociona for 7 nites. We stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite, which was comfortable for the 4 of us. The location was perfect, as we did day trips to other villages. It was lovely coming back, making a little dinner and sitting out on the...

We enjoyed the quiet location, the free wine tasting and the hospitality of the hosts. But our Apartment B had a fireplace in it (maybe they all do), and the lingering smoky smell was a little unpleasant. You kind of get used to it, but it's always there. Had we known of the smell, we would have probably chosen another...

Beautiful place to visit and have a very relaxed stay. Stunning views, near the charming town of Montalcino, the agriturismo is a quiet and romantic place. The apartments are quite simple, but offer everything you need.

We stayed for two nights at La Crociona and had a wonderful time. Barbara and Roberto were fantastic - so kind and thoughtful. It felt like we were with old friends. They kindly offered us an amazing breakfast spread for just a small extra charge (definitely worth it!). The room was cozy and clean - just what we needed. La Crociona...

This agriturismo offers guests apartments in a quiet, country setting vineyard near Montalcino. This provided a home base for us to explore small towns in the Tuscany countryside. Our hostess, Barbara, her husband the breakfast chef, her father, and her brother, Roberto, Somelier of their Brunello wine were most welcoming. Their various sized apartment accomodations are clean and neat with...

Convenient location, good price, and friendly welcome but otherwise was disappointing and did not live up to favorable reviews and #1 ranking. More of a budget farm living stay, so if that is what you are looking for than it suits the bill. Would not recommend given all the other alternatives in the area. Would recommend visiting Montelpulciano (great hill...

My wife and I had a fantastic trio to the Montalcino and Val D'Orcia area of central Tuscany and this was in much part due to our wonderful accommodations at La Crociona Agriturismo. Hosted by the very gracious Fiorella and Paolo, and operated in the family business tradition by daughter and turismo director Barbara, and brother and wine master Roberto,...

Fiorella, Barbara, Roberto, and Paolo are wonderful hosts who provide their guests with a warm welcome, superb wine offerings, and comfortable, peaceful accommodations. This is an exemplary agriturismo, which is, first and foremost, a producer of fine Brunello, olive oil, honey, and grappa. The land here is actively worked as well as historically interesting. We received from Giulia a nice...

We just got back from Italy for our spring break and after 4 days in busy Rome, drove to Montalcino to sample some Brunellos and experience agriturismo hence our stay in La Crociona! We're glad we did! For a good price we got to experience a little bit of farm living in the beautiful Montalcino. Giulia helped us get settled...

Was here in the off season on a chilly night in November and stayed in a very lovely apartment with a kitchen and fireplace. There is a gym on site that I didn't use, but I did make full use of the fireplace and the basket of wood that was freely provided. In the morning walked some of the trails...
