Having read earlier reviews of this hotel I was nervous about what we would find when we got here and if it would spoil our holiday. On our first night the hotel was over-booked and we stayed at the Hotel Victoria in Mennagio. Because of this they up-graded our room to one with a lake view on the 4th floor....

Stayed for 1 week in Sept 2013. Had a room at the back which was a little dark but we were out all day so wasn't an issue. Room was clean although lots of soft furnishings (thick curtains, fabric headboard, etc) a bit of a problem as I am allergic to dust mites so needed to take antihistamines. Plenty of...

My wife and I stayed for a week from the 4th September to the 11th of September. This was for our 40th (Ruby) Wedding Anniversary. No reconition of that as we have had in other hotels in Italy on other anniversaries. I did e.mail ahead and told them and also asked for a high quiet room as I have Asthma...

Shabby room with no AC or room safe. Good breakfast and good value coffee & drinks bar. Buffet dinner expensive but provides a wide choice of dishes. No information about hotel or local tourism in room.

My wife and I stayed here as part of a Travel Department holiday in September 2013. We found the hotel clean and comfortable and in a perfect location for the ferries which we used to explore the lake. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent, as was the service in the restaurant. Anyone I spoke to in our tour group was impressed...

Chose this hotel over many others to spend the week where we married on the amazing lake Como. We were initially disappointed with the reception at the front desk of the hotel, where it was mentioned that we were due to marry in a few days, no "congratulations" or 'thank you for choosing our hotel for your big day" offered...

Good and not so good points! Firstly good points! Staff polite helpful and friendly. Hotel well positioned for wonderful views across the Lake Como and ideal for walking too! Our room was more than adequate with a balcony and view over the lake. However - Room 405 - has its disadvantages - it is directly beneath the outer dining room...

Heading back to Zurich from Turin. Spent a night on Lake Como at the GHC. Right across the steer from the ferry to Bellagio. Walking distance to several great restaurants. Pool was nice, but it was a hot day and a little crowded. Sunning on the deck with a drink and incredible views. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Rooms a little...

The lobby of the hotel is very Italian, lots of marble and comfy chairs and settees. Reception is smalll but efficient. We had a lake view balcony Room 400 and apart from the terrace rooms is the best for the views - both ways and across the lake. It is well furnished although drawer space is limited, with very comfy...

This hotel has fantastic public areas with lots of gold painted chairs and settees. All the staff are helpful and speak many languages. We arrived at just after midday and both rooms were ready. However one of our rooms was very dusty and the wardrobe a white chipboard affair had one of its sliding mirrored doors hanging off.(The previous occupants...
