I was very glad that I had read all reviews for this hotel, which were pretty accurate I have to say. The hotel is amazing and very clean - it is packed full of beautiful furniture and art, which I loved. Our room was in a turret hewn out of rock and the views from our balcony were stunning. It...

Please find my review below which is a copy of the letter I sent to Il Saraceno upon our return: Dearest Laura, Maria, Giovanni, Lucio, Antonio & the entire staff at Il Saraceno, Thank you for making us feel so incredibly welcome at your hotel. There is something very magical about that place and I immediately felt a very deep...

The only reason I am not rating this hotel average is because it is a 5* star hotel. Having stayed at a variety of both large multiple chain, and independently owned 5* hotels- I am aware of the standard to be expected. At Il Saraceno- they did not provide water in the rooms. Though a minor point, there are NO...

Beautiful grounds, the hotel is literally carved out of the side of a mountain. Both the view and hotel are beautiful. The staff could be a little friendlier, but overall it was a great experience. I will say that the hotel bar and restaurant are a little more expensive than what you can find in the actual town of Amalfi,...

My husband and I stayed at this fantastic hotel for 3 nights while enjoying the Amalfi coast. The building is situated atop a medieval fortress and going to the pool and beach areas feels like traveling back in time. There is a huge cave carved on a rock perched directly above the hotel, making it look like it's about to...

I had to give a star but this hotel doesnt deserve any. We have never looked forward to leaving a hotel more. 9 of us occupied 5 rooms. In terms of decor this hotel inspires depression which is a terrible shame as the structure deserves better. The rooms are outdated with awful dingy bedcovers and rickety chairs that break when...

Loved this hotel. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The property grounds were beautiful and private. Having breakfast al fresco every morning overlooking the cobalt blue colored sea and watching the sailboats sail along the coast was like stepping into a dream. Can't wait to return.

Built into the cliff with amazing views over the bay, a stunning and magical place. Rooms are big enough with a balcony overlooking the sea. Restaurant for dinner is lovely on the terrace at the top, and lunch in the beach bar good. Many lifts to get you up and down, and the drop to sealevel is a big one....

If you like different to the norm this is the hotel for you, but you must like lifts, the hotel has lift down to the beach and lifts to the rooms, no one lift takes you to both so if you at the beach area it is a long haul back to your room, the beach is stoned so beach...

My friends and I were so excited in the build up to our holiday in Amalfi. Our hotel looked great from all the adverts and we thought we had made the perfect choice. How disappointed were we with what we actually got. There is no denying that the hotel is in a fantastic location, and itself is very interesting with...
