Our stay was in May 15th for 10 days having stayed here 4 years ago couldnot wait to get back, but I'm afraid the experience was no where near the one we had had previously .To be fair and give an honest review , I must say that the hotel rooms and all areas are still outstanding and maintained beautifully. We had a swim up room which was excellent and worth the extra expense. The food and drinks were good quality and varied in choice.Unfortunatly its your staff in the evening dining room that let you down.We ate out 4 nights as got fed up of being ignored as we entered the room and soon learned the only way to get attention was if we spoke German then nothing was too much trouble, not good as we had paid same amount of money to be there. The waitress at our section usually table 2/3/4/5 was miserable and one night we had eaten our dinner before she came to offer us a drink in her usuall Searly manner. The best 3 staff in the hotel were Micheal &Antonius on the main bar and martini on the small pool bar, they made our time there better. One highlight was I paid for the candlelight dinner on the beach ,well worth it food was fantastic as was experience, our waitress that night was absolutely fantastic we even had visit from chef as new menu.Every night by 10pm we were only 2 people left in bar upstairs there wasn't any atmosphere as we worked out alot of guests were B&B and were going off site to eat and drink at night.Sad to say bitterly disappointed at the drop in service standards since last visit.

Have just returned from a week all inclusive and had a lovely break. As already mentioned in previous reviews this is a super hotel. Plenty of choice in the buffet restaurant and the Italian restaurant was a nice change, could eat in there during the day as well as evening. The Cibus “Nightclub” we visited a couple of evenings but although the cocktails were very nice the seating was not very comfortable and there seemed to be more staff than guests on those occasions. The pool bar in the evenings was a nice place to sit but only a limited number of seating available and a few of these were uncomfortable too, looks nice but not always practical for the older guests. When we arrived we were told to download the hotel app and this would give us all the information we needed, which was true it did, but we missed out on having our room serviced one day because one of the light switches is actually a “do not disturb “ switch (not very easy to identify) and indicates a red light outside the room. This was on the app under Services, but what’s wrong with having a laminated information card in the room? I feel it would have been nice maybe to have had some evening entertainment, maybe a couple of times a week and that is the only reason I have given 4 instead of 5 stars. The brochure indicated occasionally entertainment but all we had was someone playing the piano in the buffet restaurant each evening, All the staff are the most friendly, cheerful and helpful people ever, and that goes a very long way. There are sun beds on the beach for the guests use and also a waiter who will take drink orders. A trip to Rhodes town was 4 euros each and a very frequent local bus service. Visited a 9d cinema (excellent) and booked a Trekkie tour which was brilliant, we saw so much more than we would have seen if just walking. We did not use the spa facilities at the hotel so are unable to comment on these.

We spent a wonderful week in the Port Royal in April. It was the very start of the season so probably quieter than usual, which just added to the laid back and relaxing vibe of the resort. Our room was large and comfortable, and the shared beachfront swim up pool was a fabulous addition and well worth the cost. Kolymbia is a fairly quiet spot but there are some good restaurants and bars close to the hotel. We also took the bus to Rhodes Town on a couple of occasions and got taxis back (bus was €4 if I remember correctly and taxis around €37 one way). But back to the resort...it was our first resort holiday and a special occasion, which the hotel knew and they gave us a lovely cake and sparkling wine in arrival. We have dietary requirements and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, including getting in gluten free pizza bases in the restaurant (thank you Giusta) and lots of gf treats at breakfast (thank you Michaelis). I should add that the food in the Italian restaurant was excellent, as was the amazing buffet breakfast. Special mention for the staff were really magnificent - everyone was so friendly and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again if/when we return to Rhodes. It really is every bit as good as it looks.

Nice adults only hotel, close to the local bars and shops. Room was great, clean and with a sea view. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice. The bars and the Italian Pizzeria restaurant was excellent. Cannot fault this hotel and the staff. Easy to get local buses to Rhodes town, and Lindos too.

What a fantastic place for a well earned rest. Firstly I have to echo other reviews on the staff at the hotel. Absolutely impeccable service from everyone (Janis, Evaggelia to name a few). They all can’t do enough and a very well done on the training that has been provided. We stayed in a bungalow with a private pool. Just wow. Spacious, quiet, lovely views, pool was fantastic, room cleaned perfectly every day, well worth the extra expense. We didn’t spend one day around either of the main pools, but they look fantastic as well. The sun loungers had nice thick cushions and are plentiful. We came as all inclusive and are undecided if it is worth it as you feel sometimes to push yourself to get the most out of it. On the other hand, lovely that we didn’t have to worry about signing tabs and wondering how much of a bill we have racked up. The pool bar is great. Lovely staff and a wide range of drinks. The new addition of the Cibus is great. DJ plays some cracking tunes, different drinks available and the tapas style food is absolutely fantastic. The Italian restaurant downstairs for the evening is great. Lots of choice and no need to book. With the buffet, we only ate there once. We are not really lovers of buffet food but the options are plentiful. Cons If you’re all inclusive the minibar in the room only includes a few soft drinks and water No shower curtain so waters sprays everywhere Feel the place needs another restaurant if you’re not happy with buffet food All inclusive finishes at 11pm. Midnight would be nice (just a suggestion) Pros Staff, staff, staff. Just fantastic all around Drinks options are great even with all inclusive The grounds are lovely and well kept Our room/pool - one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed in Location is great. Near other restaurants (ouzaki is great and only a few metres from the hotel) Relaxed atmosphere Lunch is brilliant and lovely. Great Greek options Burger- one of the best I’ve ever had Tapas at Cibus. Just wow Overall, an amazing experience and we have already booked to go again next year. Can’t wait

We stayed for a week during the end of September/ start of October 2022. This is a lovely resort! The layout is very nice, with only low buildings (3 floors, except the main building which might had 4). There are two pools and the resort is also located beach front, with the ocean at your doorsteps. The resort has a nice design overall, and it has a good atmosphere. We had a room in the 1st floor which was overlooking the smaller pool. We were somewhat happy with the room, but nothing more than what you can expect from a 5-star resort either. I would avoid the ground floor rooms if you are looking for privacy. We went for the all inclusive plan as we love to not having to think about the bill when on holiday. That being said; If we went b&b we really would not have spent more, so we were not really saving money on choosing the meal plan. Not all drinks and cocktails are included: Only two types od local draught beer was included, and neither of the G&Ts were. But there were still lots of cocktails to choose from, and the local wines were included (also bottles) and they were actually better than expected. The cocktails were also mostly good. Prices for local draught beer was 5, Corona 6 and weissbeer 7. Most cocktails were between 10-15 EUR (and a few costing more). The fine dining a la carte restaurant is not included either, but the other a la carte and buffet restaurants were. I am not sure we would have chosen the all inclusive plan if we went again, unless more of the beverages were included, as we did also order items that were chargeable, making it less good value for money. Food wise, the buffet restaurant had the best food. We really enjoyed our meals there. The a la carte restaurants could have some better quality. Some dishes were great, but not all of them, and there should either be more choices in the menu, or more rotation on a daily basis. After some days it becomes repetitive and not too much to choose from. The pool bar was also very nice, but it did fill up after dinner with few available seats. There was also a bar at the roof terrace, but few people were using it in the evenings. I guess it was mostly because it was not very cosy. The architecture was very pretty, but there were too many hard surfaces. So adding some plants/ trees and maybe some torches would soften it up, and more people would use it. That way the guests would spread out more for after dinner drinks, and the pool bar would be less crowded. That being said, they now seem to have added a new bar which might have solved the issue. What really stands out in this resort is the staff! The service is simply phenomenal! I would like to especially thank Michalis and Giota at Armira Restaurant and the other Michalis at Royal Blue buffet restaurant. A few improvements and I would rate this resort with 5 stars. We had a lovely holiday at Port Royal, and we would not mind going back at all.

Visited for 4 days which was pure magic and relaxation, beautiful hotel with amazing new-like features like the pool, pool restaurant and cocktail bar. The real standout was the staff, always quick to assist, very friendly and attentive. Was great to build up a relationship with them everyday which left us so sad to leave. Big shout out to the restaurant maitre’d Giota and to our waiter Paraskevi. Also, to Anthoula the front of house manager who was such a superstar.

Stayed 7-17 May 22 from UK. We are seasoned holidaymakers and this is the very best holiday hotel we have stayed at - bar none. Adults only, no significant entertainment (so it was quiet by the pool in the day and in the bar in the evening) and it's own beach with plenty of beds, etc. What makes it so great though is the staff, from the Lady sweeping by the pool to the Reception staff everyone is so welcoming and so helpful. I won't single out any one member of staff - they were all SUPERB. On top of that the food is delightful, probably too delightful as I put on 1.5kg weight in 10 days! Great bedrooms - all spotlessly clean - very spacious public areas inc dining room, and a large wonderfully landscaped site. What more can I say about this excellent Hotel. Thank you everyone at Port Royal - we'll be back.

If you are planning to upgrade to a 5 star hotel, then you definitely should! Service was second to none. Glass of fizz on arrival. Driven to our door. Chocolate covered strawberries waiting in the room with another bottle of fizz. We had upgraded to the room with a hot tub and it was so worth it. We even celebrated a birthday while here and without telling them, they left us a cake in our room. Will definitely come back to this hotel for another visit. Rhodes is a beautiful place and this hotel made a stay extra special
