Everything worked nicely, efficiently and as aggreed in this hotel - as we would be in Switzerland. The difference is in the hospitability of Greeks (sorry Swiss, you're nice too but...). We really enjoyed the relaxed and caring attitude of Villa Ilias staff, world-class view from the balcony, fun get-together by the pool and the their solutions to the small...

The staff are simply amazing at this hotel! So helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and well kept. The breakfast was delicious and it was nice to have a different surprise at breakfast every morning. The walk into town was just the right distance and you can't beat the view from the pool.

My sister and I visited Santorini and selected Villa Ilias based on the high number of rave reviews; we were not disappointed! The hotel helped us to schedule our arrival from the port to the hotel and we were given a tour of the property and could not wipe the smiles from our faces. The location and views were ideal....

I went with such high expectations for this hotel and Santorini that would have been unrealistic most places but not here. Right from check-in when we were greeted by Mary and George to when we left, we had no complaints. Our room was small but clean, as expected, with a balcony overlooking the pool with amazing views of the caldera...

We stayed at the Villa Ilias for a week at the end of September/early October. It helped greatly that the weather was glorious and that Santorini is a scenically stunning island with a rich historical heritage, a fascinating geology and white villages strewn like guano along the caldera ridge. We arrived at the hotel about 9.20pm, as expected, but as...

General comments about Santorini & Villa Illias - First Off Santorini is Sensational. So where ever you stay it's still a dream. Santorini is not a large island so it would be easy to explore all points of the Island. - Fira & Oia are the most popular towns and are full of tourist (mainly during the day from the...

Our trip to Santorini took place between Sept 30 and October 6. Six wonderful days with great weather, excellent views and service. George, Mary and Nicolette were very hospitable, they took very good care of us with good suggestions on what to do and where to go. We wanted a trip to be more traditional island visit, not the typical...

Hotel is in a great location within walking distance to downtown Fira. Excellent views of the caldera. Staff went above and beyond to make stay hospitable, including staying late one day to help me recover a cell phone that I lost in a taxi. You will love staying here!

One of the nicest hotels that already went, Great view of the Caldera, Very good service and it is one of the best places in Santorini, Fira. It has great restaurants nearby, market, and is only 20 minutes from the center of Fira.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in the sunset view room with a nice balcony, and the view was better than it is in Oia, where rooms either have a caldera view or a sunset view but not both. The breakfast here was nice and the staff very helpful and welcoming.
