Excellent rooms and wonderful food in really nice surroundings. The stream adds character to the location which is only a short ride away from the nearby interesting town. Both table and room service are to a high standard.

We loved this place. The atmosphere of peace and quiet beauty welcomed us. We stayed for a week and went birding each day with local bird guides. The simple yet contemporary buildings and room décor complement the natural environment. Cleanliness, bed and pillow, bath space and layout, plenty of natural light and window screens all made the room experience very...

Crossing the bridge over the rocky stream which borders the lodge you come into a small paradise. The lodge is set in an extensive garden with several paths lined by flowering trees and bushes. Excellent food served on an open air terrace. All rooms have a deck or balcony over looking the gardens. The lodge and its team of guides...

We stayed at the lodge on a birding tour with Field Guides. Wonderful setting with a stream running through the property, native forest surrounding the lodge, and a great variety of birds. Spacious rooms, very clean, good meals, outstanding staff. Wish we could have stayed longer and spent more time on the nearby trails.

The lodge is wonderful. The ambience, excellent food, wine with dinner, bird stations, trails, and other amenities show the extent to which the staff goes to make your stay enjoyable. And the birds and guides - fantastic. The eyes, ears, mimicry, knowledge, and talent the guides have go towards making your bird or nature watching experience exceptional. I haven't even...

Stayed 5 nights and birded from the Pacific dry forest to a cloud forest mountain top. The lodge is excellent, the weather is cooler here, the guides are excellent, and the lodge is comfortable and provides excellent meals. They have bird feeders that bring birds into close view, there are grounds to walk and a stream to watch for birds...

The lodge is beautifully situated on a mountain stream with a private garden and pool. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. There are many nearby sites for birdwatching with guides provided by the lodge. Birds are attracted to the site with bananas etc. which makes for good photos, but wonder about this practice. The Lounge/Dining area is open, airy...

I loved my stay at Canopy Lodge!!! I was expecting to sort of be roughing it at the eco-lodging during my birdwatching trip, but it was truly luxurious and the open-air dining/lounge area provided a wonderful start to the day and a relaxing, fun place to congregate for dinner at the end of the day. My husband and I want...

Stayed at Canopy Lodge for 5 days in January 2017. The accommodations were great, comfy bed, heated towel rack, hot showers. But don't just go for the creature comforts, the Lodge is surrounded by fabulous wildlife - agoutis, squirrels at the feeders to delight and make you laugh, and birds - wow, what a wonderful array of birds. You feel...

The Canopy Lodge was the second stop for our Sierra Club nature trip, the first being the Canopy Tower. The Lodge is at a higher elevation and so offered us opportunities to see additional species of birds and butterflies. The Lodge is fairly small, which offers guests a more personal experience than would be possible at a big hotel. The...
