Recently i stayed over in lone pine hotel. Wonderful ambiance but the service is not to my expectation. Even though there are not many people in the restaurant, but waited for 15 minutes for a glass of water! Customer service is not good as well..the management need to educate their staff.

Built in 1953 in the colonial era and style. Not surprisingly owned by the E & O. Very uncrowded even when fully occupied. Lots of space for everyone everywhere - poolside, restaurants, spa, gym. All facilities are available, but the style and ambience are still that of a colonial rest house by the sea. Location is excellent - right in... More

Hotel is great.... Stayed in super deluxe room. It had a small air conditioned room with day bed, lounge chair and table attached to a large bedroom. Large balcony with built in small plunge pool and views of ocean. Flat screen TV, excellent modern bathroom. Included breakfast was very good. Room was very well maintained by cleaning staff. Four bottles... More

We stayed here a few nights, firstly I would not rate this hotel 5 star but more a four! The rooms are nice and original with bathtubs in the balcony, which means no bath at night as you would be bitten by mosquitoes. Customer service at the restaurants and pool service were bad as the servers kept forgetting orders, my... More

I was on a business trip to Penang, and decided to stay at the Lone Pine for a long weekend's relaxation. This was a very good decision! I knew it was going to be a great stay from the moment I arrived. The reception staff greeted me warmly, and had all my details ready on a little clipboard. They asked... More

Travel regularly to Malaysia and Stayed at Lone Pine for 2 weeks. Staff lovely and friendly could not do enough for us. We stayed in a suite and service was best we have received in Penang. Will be back next year defiantly for a longer stay.

This hotel is by far my favorite hotel in Batu Ferringhi. It is a lovely boutique hotel and all the rooms faces the sea. Rooms at level 3 has the best sea view. The rooms are spacious and tastefully designed. There is a bathtub on the balcony of each rooms with sky and sea view. Parking and WiFi is available.... More

The hotel, all in all, scored averagely from me. For a 5-star hotel, I would have expected more, as per my experience from One World Hotel PJ. I stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday, and it was a good enough retreat. It was directly next to the sea, and the hotel prepared a lot of amenities to make... More

My hubby & I stay here for 1 night in the month of Jul'14 for our wedding anniversary. The hotel surprised us with bed decoration and celebration cake. The check in staff was friendly and she took initiative to bring us to our room. This hotel is good for self-drive guest as the hotel parking is free for in-house guest.... More
