Loved this place. Was not sure about Ferringhi and in general the area is nothing special. The beach however is nice enough and there are some pretty good bars and restaurants in the area. If you are staying at Lone Pine, you will however have good time. Very nice old property, extremely relaxing grounds and pool area. Rooms could not...

Lone Pine is a beautiful boutique hotel with character. We were greeted by friendly staff on arrival, offering us towel and drink as we check-in. The room we got was big and very comfortable for 2 of us. Beach was accessible directly from the hotel. For dinner, we took a 5 min walk to Long Beach which serves a selection...

We were staying at Lone Pine between Christmas and New Year 2014 and were very impressed with the fabulous design and location of the hotel. Nice beach faced rooms on grown floor with a possibility of opening up the front 'living room' to bring in the sea breeze when relaxing at the room, yet giving privacy inside the actual bedroom....

Lone Pine from the very start was an exceptional hotel. As we were spending Christmas and the New Year visiting from England, I was Emailing beforehand to ask what events they had planned over the period. I had a very prompt and informative reply, we were excited. Checking in was a dream, so easy, which was a blessing after travelling...

Lone Spine Hotel is a must-visit destination stay on the magical Malaysian island of Penang. Lone was a wonderful choice our visit to Penang, Malaysia. The hotel and surrounding facilities were clean and comfortable, and the room was a more than good sized, though some wear and tear but that could add to the authentic beach style atmosphere. Had the...

Yes, I have returned to this marvellous hotel. From the moment you arrive you are greeted with warm genuine smiles, a fresh cold towel and a refreshing drink. Check in was no problem as having arrived early I was given a beautiful room to chill out in for a while until my room was ready. My room was luxurious wih...

The Lone Pine Hotel, Batu Faringi, Penang, Malaysia is a one hour taxi drive from the Airport at a cost of about 75-100 Malaysian Ringgit (15 - 20 GBP). To get the hotel car to pick you up will cost 160 with a 50% surcharge between 2200hrs and 0700hrs. The hotel used to be a very cheap old colonial style...

Sitting in the stone bathtub on the terrace with the view over the sea was a wonderful experience. The deluxe room is big and very comfortable. The poolarea nice and tempting. Just around the corner you find the Long Beach cafe - a typical Malay street kitchen. We can recommend.

I stayed on Christmas night. Came for a friend's garden wedding at the beachside! How awesome is that? Check in was alright, small little place for guests to wait while checking in. Not too much hassle, the receptionists were friendly and smiled. Very good service. Even asked if we needed wheelchair as our party had elderly! After checking in we...
