More than what I expected of a 2-star hotel. Hotel felt secured. Room size, you get what you paid for. Most importantly, beds are comfortable and both room & toilet are clean. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast was provided at a small pantry area that they have. Even though it's quite basic - a choice of fried meehoon, fried...

As we were arriving on Chinese New Year (not the best day to travel!) during the holiday period we didn't have as much choice of accommodation as usual, or for as cheap as usual, but we ended up very pleased with the EQ Ferringhi....

the place is nice and clean. they service/tidy up the room every morning though not putting the sign :) ... the free breakfast is acceptable considering the price paid for... however, it would have been great if they open up their cafe the rest of the day (and not only breakfast) and serve coffee anytime of the day for guests...

Receptionist was very welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights. 108RM for one double room per night. You really do get what you pay for. One Shower (powerful) / One shabby sink / Basic bed (was surprisingly comfortable!!) / Crappy view / Decor shabby / Towels abit drabby / No fridge. We stayed here for a couple of nights and everything was fine. The best thing going for this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to Batu Franggi night market and about 5 minutes to the beach. The room small and very basic facilities.. Its value for the price that was paid.
