Our 3rd stay at Les Hauts which we love for the peace and quiet, the lovely views and the warm welcome from Myriam and Erik. A great place to stop along Route 62. Erik,s breakfasts are not to be missed and Myriam will advise restaurants for dinner in Montagu which is only a 5 minute drive away.

If it is peace and quiet you are looking for, this is a real haven - although only 2 or 3 km out of Montagu, and you can see the town in the distance, it feels like you are miles from nowhere. As per the other reviews written, the rooms were luxurious (the outside shower a real treat), the breakfasts... More

An intriguing location, a stunning property, first class hosts and excellent food. You probably don't need to read on! Eric and Myriam have a unique offering here and we feel so lucky to have found it and experienced it. On vacation from Canada, we were en route from Stellenbosch to Arniston and friends had suggested we go via Montagu -... More

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting. Gracious knowledgeable hosts. Large delicious breakfasts. Fireplaces in the rooms with dried lavender as kindling. Sweeping vistas and a couple of frolicking ostriches. Great walks on the farm. Couldn't ask for more.

We took a group of well-traveled people there to overnight. When I heard the squeals of delight coming from them once they were looking at the rooms, I knew we had a winner. Woke up early and had a warm outdoor private shower fringed with wild flowers and looking into the valley, while it's icy outside. Fantastic breakfast, prepared with... More

This was without doubt the best overnight stop that we experienced on this visit to South Africa. Picked from previous reviews, we were not to be disappointed. The situation is stunning, the rooms superbly and thoughtfully decorated and equipped. Our hosts were out of this world in the way that they looked after us. It is a must for a... More

It was a one night stopover on our way to Oudtshoorn and we regretted not having booked for 3 nights. Although only a short distance from Montagu there was a remoteness about the property. We particularly enjoyed sitting on our verandah looking at the magnificent mountains in the distance, watching a few ostrich amble through the olive trees and breathing... More

We just spent one night at this property and wish we had planned to stay longer! It is located amongst the picturesque mountains and a short drive from Montagu town centre if you need essentials, restaurants (though there appears to be a restaurant on site - we didn't eat here though) You could spend a couple of days just at... Situated only 3 km outside of the quaint little town of Montagu, it is really worth a stay at Les Hauts de Montagu, rather than in the town itself. The surroundings are beautiful tranquil Olive Groves and lovely walking trails. Situated at the base of the mountains with a view of the region. Especially adapted for Nature lovers or anyone... We recently had the pleasure of a stay at Les Hautes de Montagu and it was worth the wait. Located just out side of the town, the hotel has a rural farm like environment and features many beautiful buildings which create a wonderful 'farmstead' feel. The rooms are large, well furnished with all the luxuries which one could expect. The... More
