Great experience. The owner was very helpful and a great host. Attention to detail was shown in all aspects - from a fire place with wood pre-stacked and a bunch of lavender to burn - to beautifully presented breakfast. We arrived via helicopter - and although there is a helipad - it is a little bit far from the rooms....

My partner and I (gay couple) checked into this hotel for a romantic weekend away. The hotel didn't disappoint. We we greeted warmly and our room (with an outside shower) was phenomenal. Let's be honest, when was the last time you had a shower with the Milky Way providing the light and dramatic mountains providing the backdrop? The breakfast was...

Route 62 - South Africa's equivalent of US Route 66 - takes travellers through the beautiful hills and valleys of the Cape lined with fruit farms and vineyards. This B&B tucked away just off the road on the outskirts of Montague is simply sublime. Quiet with stunning views and a lovely pool set amid olive groves is among the most...

This is without doubt a stunning location but it's lacking something and I'm not sure what. I agree with another reviewer who noticed the (pristine) signs everywhere, and the whole place is pristine, and quiet, and beautiful, but.... The ostriches are wonderful, as was the giant tortoise who came to visit by the pool, the room was comfortable if a...

The setting for this hotel is truly a amazing, offering total peace and quiet. A lovely swimming pool, with ostriches looking on! The rooms are beautifully appointed with many luxuries including an outside shower, so what a shame that they should fall down on little things such as only providing two small sachets of milk for either tea or coffee,...

Superb location, excellent facilities and a breakfast from heaven! The walks around the estate are well worth exploring - you may not see the tortoise but you will see the ostriches! It's a couple of miles outside Montagu but well worth accepting the extra distance from your evening meal to wake up in this relaxing, peaceful place.

You have to visit this amazing place. It's pure Heaven, with capital H. Where does one start. Well the grand entrance leads you into this dusty long track. Who knows what's at the end. Well first the hele pads cottage, that gives a lot away. Then this oasis of an old Dutch house appears. Small cottages either side. Full of...

The property it's self is delightful. We had a little "cottage" with a balcony, one of a number in a terrace which looked over the South African countryside. Olive trees, mountains in the distance and some interesting neighbours, I've never had ostridges in the car park before - amazing. The view in the morning from our balcony and double opening...

A stunning location, with lovely views and nice walks. I deal for a weekend breakaway. The rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. Comfortable king size bed, fire place tea/ coffee facilities and a veranda with a view over the valley. The bathroom includes a private outdoor shower and is well stocked with toiletries, nice touch with his and hers robes....

This was probably the best place we stayed in during our two weeks in South Africa. We only stayed one night. The setting and surrounding area is stunning. You can relax in a jacuzzi admiring the fabulous scenery. The room was very comfortable with a terrace overlooking the olive trees with ostriches and other wildlife running through them every now...
