At White Lion Lodge everything is perfect! We were there in a group of 9 and had the whole place to ourselves, which made it even better. The lodge is small and very private, there are only four rooms. Every room is a separate house, which is beautiful! It is highest standard, you have a high quality room with everything...

This is a very different safari to one in the Kruger or Limpopo region as it's a Big 5 in the middle of the Karoo which by definition is desert like so dry and rocky. We went to try and see the White Lions and were not disappointed. They had recently killed a large Kudu bull and were pretty full!...

Better late than never! This is a review from our stay in September 2013, not 2014 but Trip Advisor doesn't let you go back that far!! My husband and I were invited to Cape Town for his friends 40th birthday. Since this was going to be quite a long way to travel for us, we decided to include a safari...

For years I wanted to go on a safari and for my birthday, my partner and I decided to make it happen. Since we stayed in Cape Town, I researched a lot of Safari lodges that were nice and not too far from the city. White Lion Lodge is about 3.5h from Cape Town and the drive is scenic and...

We have just returned from a fantastic three day weekend at the White Lion Lodge. Having driven on a number of gravel roads in SA, we found the roads to the Lodge to be of a high standard. The instructions to the lodge were also excellent. It is located in a beautiful area. We were greeted by Alesha with Warm...

We had a great time here. The food and service was fantastic, the accommodations excellent and the guided tours were stunning. Some of the reviews have voiced frustrations about the drive time between the lodge on the south of the reserve and the game which are primarily situated on the north side of the reserve - I actually enjoyed the...

Firstly it is true what all others say, it is miles away from anything and you will be driving a lot, freezing a lot in the open 4WD, however the experience is amazing, the landscape, the food and the animals. It is this earthborn place in the wilderness combined with the luxury of a Five star resort. It is worth...

Dear Marshase, Thank you very much for the positive and lovely comments on the Lodge. I’m very glad that you enjoyed your stay and the experience. Regarding your comment on the tip, I think I have to clarify the situation at the Lodge and actually the staff made me aware of your comment and they feel very bad because what...

My husband and I spent the first part of our honeymoon here and could not think of a better, more luxurious way to start married life. As it was winter we were the only guests although the weather was beautiful for us. The rooms are beautiful, large and fitted out with every comfort you could want. The fireplace and underfloor...

This lodge is maybe one of the best value for money establishments we have ever stayed at. White Lion Lodge offers a very personal experience that is not overly expensive. The all inclusive rate is well worth the money paid and if you are looking for a break away from the rush of the maddening world then this well worth...
