This is not our first ayurvedic stay in Kerala but the contrast with our previous experiences could not be greater. During our stay we were alone and this was wonderful! Total peace, with the staff doing wonders for our welfare. It was really like staying with friends, and by the end of our stay they were really our friends! More than a hotel, it's living in a large plantation house which provides ayurvedic treatment. The manager and his children, the owner and her friends coming to visit, the doctor and her beloved garden, this is the "good life" in India. On a more down to earth level the treatments are of quality and the food is flavourful and perfectly adapted to non Indian tastebuds. With 4 hours of massage and 2 hours of yoga there is little time for other activities and anyway, the place being isolated there is not much to do but contemplate the beautiful vew and walking in the nearby surrounding.

A hidden gem. I have visited this place 5 or 6 times. It is my favourite Center in Kerela. Very authentic. Unfortunately, I could only stay a week on this occasion yet still I managed to gain so much from it. Each and every time the effects are more apparent. Would recommend at leat a 3 week stay for full panchakarma experience but anytime in this wonderful haven will leave you feeling restored! The entire staff (Or rather family) are wonderful and really cannot do enough for you. Nothing is too much trouble. A big thanks to the manager Jibu whose only mission is to ensure each moment is perfect for you and Sheila the doctor is very careful to ensure you get treatment tailored for you. The treatments are powerful and unlike other centres they take their time. You have two treatments a day at least one 90mins to 2 hour treatment and one 60 min treatment, all done by highly trained and careful therapists. Also 2x a day yoga/meditation which for me has always been the same yogi Thomas who is very careful with you. If you want some serious R&R in beautiful peaceful grounds in the hills then this is your place. Thank you to the Chamundi family to once again take great care of me :-)

We were here at the end of October 2019, and the only guests the entire 2 weeks - every wish was read from our eyes, and we were completely taken care of. Chamundi Hill is an Aryurvedic wellness dream, with a wonderful atmosphere. The manager Jibu, with his doctor Dr. Sheela, run the center expertly, lovingly & warmly - the whole team is attentive and so cordial! I just came to relax, and my various small physical complaints have all gotten better: with the daily treatments, herbal wraps, the Aryurvedic potions, the wonderful organic food, the tranquility, the fantastic nature and the walks in the rubber plantations ….I can only highly recommend this special gem in the middle of a fantastic nature*****.

This was my third time visit to Chamundihill for my husband and I. I always enjoy it here. All the staff were smiling ,friendly and kind. It was my husbands first time to visit and to try yoga,Ayurveda treatment and meditation in a calm atmosphere. I was worried that he might not take this environment however he enjoyed it too. His aim was to lose his weight. We did two treatments, twice yoga and hill walk everyday. It was quite enough exercise. It looked satisfactory for him. The location is on top of mountain over look surrounded by other mountains. Beautiful scenery and bird chirp make it comfortable. We felt relaxed and were able to refresh a heart. Thank you for Caring us, Dr sheela ,Jib and all staffs.

This is my 5th visit to the Chamundi family, who always go over and above doing anything they can to ensure your break is perfect. The place and grounds are beautiful and a nice walks down to the local village. I have tried other Ayurvedic “retreats” in Kerlela but his one is my favourite. Once again, I left with a fully recharged battery after the transformative and restorative ayuverdic experience.

I have recently returned from yet another wonderful visit at this amazing ayurvedic resort in Kerala. I was not disappointed as it still retains the great atmosphere and services as it did the first time I visited. In fact even more so. The attention and care from the staff including Dr Sheela and Mr Jibu is wonderful. I returned home fresh and invigorated due to healthy food yoga treatments and care. Do not hesitate to spend time and enjoy the pleasent surroundings and restful atmosphere. You will not regret it.

Take at least ten days to stay at beautiful, quiet Chamundi Hill Palace to experience authentic ancient Indian healing treatments, rest and yoga. Watch their new 3 minute YouTube video to get a sense of this place. It was so tranquil, I didn’t hear any person raise their voice in anger, either in the village or at the retreat, for all the days I stayed here. The staff is fully attentive to your needs while leaving lots of space for you to rest and heal. The facilities are clean and comfortable, just excellent. Read up on Kerala’s requirements for Green Leaf Certification to appreciate all of the details that make this center professional and complete. The doctor, therapists, cooks, and manager are all highly trained in their field, and so very kind. Couples, singles or groups will fall in love with the people and the place and leave feeling like you have bathed in the fountain of youth.
