My husband and I debated whether or not to get the freedom package but I'm so glad we did! It is TOTALLY WORTH IT! I thought it was a bit pricey but you really get your money's worth! If you're doing the hike, you'll want your own room (without a shared bathroom). We had 2 mornings of breakfast which was...

Hi there, thanks so much for your review on the Freedom Package! We have slightly increased this in the last two months only because we are now providing great quality food for the dinners which we feel is so important for you to recharge after such a big hike :)

Good place for exploring the Tongariro park. Remember to book the spa for after your walk :-) Also, if you want breakfast, lunch packs or dinner, make sure to book this in advance (at least 48 hrs before).

Hi there, we are pleased you especially enjoyed using the spa pool after your walk - you only need to give notice on the lunches and dinners - not the breakfast - as we are in the mountains and a long way from a supermarket we need to plan and pre order supplies well in advance - as we cant...

We did the Tongariro crossing and took their B&B-shuttle-lunch-dinner package. It wasn't cheap but compared to other similar services in the area the price is very reasonable. The owners were really friendly and helpful. Overall very nice experience. The only negative side was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. Our neighbors were very quiet so this wasn't an issue...

I stayed at Adventure Lodge and Motels National Park for two nights in December 2016 with my sister and her boyfriend to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We had a Studio Unit with en suite bathroom and booked the breakfast option for both mornings. After arriving on the Intercity Bus at National Park Village it was a short walk to...

I liked everything about this accomodation. Large rooms, comfortable beds, clean and well organized facilities. Everything has been finished to a good standard and you are guaranteed to have a good nights rest. There is a lovely warm and inviting lounge area with a big fire place. When we were upgraded to a private unit this was equally well done....

We came in late on the evening before our hike we were warmly received and instructed on the next mornings proceedings. We were told that we...

We booked two rooms for our family weekend away - do to the Tongaririo Crossing. Package deals. Impressed with friendly welcome, clean, tidy spacious rooms. All amenities available. Our package included breakfasts, packed lunch for the walk, dinner and shuttle to and from the walk. The perfect hassle free way. There was confusion with our meals on Saturday night due...

Hi there, thanks so much for the review and hope you received the teeshirts by now - as you are kiwis you may be able to come back soon one day - as there are other great walks as well as the crossing!

Gillian and John were great! The place was very cosy and hospitable. We had the package deal which came with breakfast, a packed lunch for the hike, dinner, and a shuttle for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. This is definitely a homey place and they definitely take great care of you while you're there!

Thanks so much for - we aim to be homey as people are usually far away from their homes and we try to make them feel at ease and comfortable!

The lodge was located walking distance to restaurants and fantastic views of the mountain. Gillian and John, the hosts, were extremely helpful and nice. We took the shuttle right from the lodge to get to the hike. The breakfasts were very good. We loved the french toast . The rooms were basic with kitchen area. The walls are quite thin...

Hi there, thanks for your helpful comments - we are looking at making the shampoo and conditioner lower and more easily reachable - I think the people that built these must have been very tall and put them in a place for them to reach not thinking about other shorter people ! sorry about that - we will rectify soon.

This is a lovely place to stay and I would 100% stay there again. The people who run this place couldn't be more helpful and friendly.. My stay there was superb!! Can't rate them highly enough. The room was lovely clean, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was cooked with love everyday. And they do transfers up the mountain.
