This is a quirky B&B, run in a very friendly way by a husband and wife team of owners. All the rooms are built into their garden. One reason we booked it was the availability of free wifi. Unfortunately, it did not reach our room very well, but it was possible (with a MacBook Air) to get a signal through...

We're glad you enjoyed your stay in Waitomo. Thank you for your kind comments. We are trying to get a signal booster for that particular room, but most people who stay there just sit at the table under the grape arbour, or on the deck at the front, where there is a better wifi signal.

Colin is a goof ball in a very good way. We really enjoyed our very brief stay here after the caves and a very long day of flying and driving. He even had wine for his guests which was no where to be found in the area. The only reason he didn't get 5-stars, is that his breakfast was terrible....

We're glad you enjoyed your stay in Waitomo. As for breakfast, each to their own. Most people and most reviewers are more than satisfied with the range of foods we provide.

We were greeted by colins wife who was very friendly and gave us all the information about trips and where to eat. Notable nice touches were the home cooked biscuits left in our room, being able to help ourselves to phone chargers and torches so we could go off for a walk to see the gloworms. We ate next door,...

We are in the centre of the village with the village store (Spellbound, Florence's Diner and King Country Brewing Co) next door and the Huhu Cafe across the road.

When we arrived we were greeted by Colin, who was very friendly and bombarded us with useful information about the area - where to eat, which caves tour to go on, where to walk before taking us to our room, which he said was the honeymoon suite. However, with a king and a single bed in it, I suspect he...

We booked here due to positive reviews and we weren't disappointed. Initially we had booked for one night in room 1 (lovely room) and then we decided to stay another night. Colin juggled another booking so that we were able to stay in our room another night. Colin and his daughter, who was helping out when we were staying, were...

Thanks for the review. Room one is always a quiet room, except for the birds!

Stumbled across this lovely place! Host Colin directed us to excellent bush walk on our arrival. He advised us of eating places. The room was lovely at the front with our own veranda. We did not have any problem with noise from traffic. The breakfast was a very good continental with plenty of choice. We would recommend!

From reading reviews of this guest lodge, we decided to stay and we were not disappointed! Colin was there to greet us and very hospitable, we booked a queen unsuite studio unit which was very homely, had a great view, lovely and clean and to top it off home baked biscuits in the room! The continental breakfast was nice, really...

Thanks for the review. Sorry about the truck noise. This is a rural area so there are stock trucks and tractors servicing the farms between Waitomo and the coast and they do tend to be noisier than cars. The tour buses, thankfully, do not pass through at night.

We enjoyed our one night here. Our room was small, but I chose that when I booked, as we knew we'd be outdoors most of our time in Waitomo. Lovely gardens here and a friendly feeling thanks to Janet and Colin. Colin suggested the forest walk nearby, and I'm glad we did it as it was lovely. We did many...

The small room at the back still has trouble with wifi connection, everywhere else is fine. (Looking at plan B!!)

Great, charming place to stay in Waitomo. Gracious hosts and clean. We usually get a more hearty breakfast at B&B's as this was more of a continental breakfast, but filled us up for the morning. Bed was soft in Rm 10(?), but I like rock hard mattresses so I slept on the floor. I'll stay here again, and recommend it...
