We had a lovely one night stay at this cute B&B. Thanks to Colin it was possible to get a glowworm tour booked on short notice for the next morning. But even better than this was his suggestion for a really nice walk where after sun set it was possible to see glowworms for free! Thanks for all your help...

Thanks for the review. We always try to get suitable trips organised for our guests at a time (and price) suitable for them. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your NZ holiday.

Five star Guest House in the centre of Waitomo Caves – next door a general dealer and iSite information next to that and a very good restaurant over the road – I was warmly welcomed by Colin the owner a hive of information about what’s up in the area and who helpfully pre-booked an enjoyable ‘Spellbound’ cave tour and dinner...

Stayed one night but wish it had been more. Really lovely place and a great view from room 3. Very comfy room even with a heavy deluge over night. Nice breakfast plus you can do all your washing, if you want.

Thanks for taking the time to write us a review. I often advise prospective guests that a two night stay in Waitomo is ideal to see the sights around the village as well as caving.

Our stay on Nov 15 was a wonderful way to mark our first evening in New Zealand. Colin is a wonderful host and clearly loves having visitors around. Would recommend to anyone visiting the region and particularly the glow worm caves which are so conveniently located close-by.

Stayed just the one night at this b&b in room 8. We thought it was a lovely room with a beautiful decked area and view. Bed was comfy and shower hot and powerful. Tea and coffee in the room along with some home made biscuits which went down a treat. We did the walks recommended by Colin and were able...

Colin and Janet are outstanding hosts with great recommendations. They organised our dinner reservation (which was outstanding, reviewed separately) and the caves tour (absolutely magical, where otherwise I might have chosen a more commercial outfit). Our room was small, but with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and good wifi.

We didn't expect much for the price and we chose it because we were short on time and wanted somewhere close to the caves. The room was clean, tidy and was reasonably well equipped for a one night stay. Janet was friendly on check in and showed us our room, pointing out straight away it was the one that didn't...

Thanks for the review, even though you were underwhelmed by the experience in Waitomo. The room you booked is our smallest room and the only one to not receive wifi, so it is our cheapest room. Because of that it is the first, not last, to be booked, which was the reason you probably booked it. Breakfast is normally well...

Very warm and welcoming, very informative of what was around. Lovely accommodations with a great view. Breakfast being Continental was one of the best we have had with some homemade touches. In all very pleased and would definitely recommend!!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We do try to have homemade or homegrown produce on the breakfast table wherever possible.

We spent 2 nights here so we could visit the Glowworm cave and also do the Hairy Feet tour at Piopio (see separate review). Colin and Janet were very welcoming and both had lots of helpful advice on what to do and where to eat both in Waitomo and further afield. We stayed in Room 2 which has a Queen...

Thanks for the review. The family rooms, with a queen bed and two single beds, does not have a lot of floor space available. The alternative of having bunk beds we considered impractical as we do get groups of adults frequently.

Stayed there for one night. Owners are very nice. Collin even makes he's own jam n cookies which you get to try for breakfast. They make you feel welcome and are ver accommodating. Room/cabin was really clean. They put a lot of care in that place.
