We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Grand Vintage Apartments. Our two bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious with a large combined dining, kitchen and lounge room opening onto two large balconies. The bedrooms both had their own en-suite which was extremely handy. Our apartment had stairs up however there are ground floor apartments available which would suit anyone with a disability. The Mercure also has excellent facilities with outdoor swimming pool , 18 hole golf course, free parking, restaurant , fitness centre and wifi. Location is excellent with easy access to all the restaurants and wineries a short drive away. The only major issue we had was it’s incredibly hard to find anything especially the restaurant and reception as there is limited signs for directions.

We really enjoyed the large 2bed/2bath apartment! Great location, very quiet. The kitchen was excellent, had pots and pans (no cooking oils etc. though) and everything was very clean. Loved the big fireplace too! Excellent staff, check in and check out was very easy.

This accommodation is very centrally located in the Hunter Valley and a great place to base yourself. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment and it had all the facilities we needed including its own kitchen, lounge and a private outdoor area where you could enjoy a coffee or drink or even a meal.

Each unit has its own garage but be warned they are pretty small - our small to medium sized suv only just fitted.

There is no restaurant on site but there is a new tavern across the road and the food and drinks are great quality for a reasonable price.

Also worth noting that reception is in the building across the road from the accommodation which is a little confusing

Property advertises hi-speed internet; our WiFi was hit and miss, more miss than hit; I was advised this was because of the location of some of the rooms and this is why the WiFi is free. Unfortunately, they were unable to change our room. Accom was otherwise ok; I liked having the garage; would have liked an oven (the one bedrooms don't have ovens, 2 BRs do); good bed and bath; poor instructions for use of the smart TV, couldnt get Netflix and when trying to ring reception on the room phone, the phone didnt seem to work. No direct sunlight into the room all day unfortunately. Sound carries heavily from the unit next door.

We spent a week staying in aone of the 2 bedroom apartments.

Apartment was modern and well presented and each bedroom had its own bathroon with a toilet and a full bath.

A washing machine and a full kitchen including a full sized fridge were in the apartment.

The apartment is located upstairs with large baconies at both the front and rear.

We did not use the pool as we didnt find the weather hot enough buit it did look inviting.

A few minutes away there is the newly constructed pub called Nineteenth with great happy hours aand great meal specials. So convenient and no driving required. There is also Chateau Elam close walk which also has a restaurant and bar.

The area is surrounded by great wineries and only a small drive away with Bimbadgen being virtually next door.

Huntlee is the closest shopping centrewith a large Coles which is a short drive away and the new Huntlee Tavern.

We loved this property.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for a weekend in December. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and nicely furnished.

Being able to utilise the amenities at The Vintage and Chateau Elan was a bonus - the kids loved they had two options of swimming pools. We grabbed takeaway breakfast and coffees from the cafe at The Vintage each morning.

The location was a short drive to many of the major attractions of the Hunter Valley. Would highly recommend.

Staying at the Mercure was lovely and the accommodation is great, very spacious with a private patio outside the lounge area of the room.
Sunken bath with a skylight to watch the stars, separate shower and a beautifully appointed room, with a kind sized bed, heavenly.
Lovely surprise on the day of my birthday there was a lovely bottle of bubbles in the fridge with a birthday card acknowledging my birthday, too fabulous.

We just had a great week at The Vintage in a one bedroom apartment. Quite comfortable and roomy. Does lack a pantry and storage space though. Driveway was narrow with hedges both sides so if you have a large car good luck. It was tight with a small car.We probably had the tightest driveway.

Kitchen with 2 burner stove (one didnt work) and a convection oven/microwave.

Across the road is the Golf Club with a happy hour at 5pm and both fine dining and casual dining options. A lovely spot and in walking distance if you both like to drink..

They are currently building a tavern which will be very close to the apartments. (Located next to the reception)

We ate at some great fine dining restaurants like Esca, The Deck and Amandas on the Edge.

Great casual dining at Oishi Thai and Japanese. Next door Goldfish had great atmosphere and 2 for 1 pizza the night we visited.

Free wine tastings at Gartlemans, Pigs Peake and McGuigan Wines.

Other wineries we tried included Audrey Wilkinson, Bimbadgen, Brokenwood, Pedersen House and Tintilla. At Tintilla we had a wine tasting and a cheese and olive plate for the bargain price of $15.Bimbadgen does wood fired pizza and on Friday night there is live music and happy hour wines for only $3.50 a glass. I really enjoyed their wines.

Called into Hunter Valley Distillery and IronBark Hill Craft Brewery.
Hunter Valley Gardens is well worth a visit
We could easily have stayed longer and explored some more wineries and restaurants.

It would be a great place to live on this estate during retirement.

Note to cleaners: Due to lack of storage we stored some items above the cupboard in the kitchen. To my surprise it didnt appear to have been cleaned for years and was quite filthy.

Well maintained and serviced apartment, lock up garage and easy access to the whole Hunter Valley. Wineries to visit and cheese manufacturers, Hunter Valley Gardens and also a zoo nearby, though the animals were mostly sleeping.
easy drives to Maitland, though if you visit Maitland expect to think you are in cramped Sydney suburbs, Singleton was great and Cessnock was as well. Wollombi is a quaint Village, Don't travel back south through Mangrove Mountain road to Wisemans Ferry, this road is Dangerous and has not been maintained for about 45 years, Too many city drivers who drive too fast and on the wrong side of the road crossing double lines for no reason other than no skill.

The staff are the stars here. Everyone and I mean everyone was super friendly and helpful. We dined in the restaurant. Perfectly adequate. Room was very comfy and the bed just one of the best I’ve had for a long time. Good location. We walked to a few wineries. Only feedback is it looked a bit unkept on the walk from hotel to gym. There’s an area with tables and chairs with meeting rooms and the tables were covered in leaves and the area seemed abandoned. Otherwise loved it

Hi there I think two apartments should be fine but I’d ask the hotel directly. I was only a visitor :-). Best regards David

Good Morning Geraldine, We have a selection of Accessible apartments throughout the property. Please contact the hotel directly so we can ensure you are allocated one of these. As Vinz mentioned in their response, half of the apartments in the complex are upstairs so it is always best to contact us sooner rather than later so we can allocate accordingly.

Shannon the grounds are very extensive and there are plenty of places for children to play. I only recall kids playing in the pool area but I would be pretty confident that there is a dedicated kids play area.
