My husband and I stayed at Macan Che in Izamal, Mexico in January 2006. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The entire stay at the bread & breakfast was wonderful. The owners were very accommodating and provided very useful information on Izamal and how to see it and get around. We are planning another trip to this wonderful place...

For those of you who want a slice of the real Mexico and who would like to meet some interesting fellow travelers, Macanche is the place! We stayed there in Dec/Jan 2006 and loved it! Izamal is a trip back in time and it has some interesting New Years' customs. The hotel was great, the owners (Americans) were absolutely lovely,...

We stayed here for a few days in December 2005 and had a lovely time. It was the perfect base from which to explore the Mayan ruins on the peninsula and was very tranquil and restful when we'd finished touring for the day. The town has a couple of places to eat and drink and the best jeweller around! Emily...

My husband and I spent a week at Macan Che in December 2005. The accomodations were great, you can choose a room/house that fits your unique style and price range. We selected one of the more expensive rooms(only $50 US a night!), the paja house. It provided a nice tropical feel with a palapa roof and ceiling fans, which were...

Izamal is a picturesque town with yellow buildings and cobblestone streets. Macanche B&B is located just a few blocks from the little town square. As you pass through the door off the quiet and rustic street, you are immediately enveloped by lush greenery and comfy dwellings that emit a serene and restful atmosphere. Take your time to walk from the...

We recently traveled to the Yucatan and spent several days in the lovely colonial town of Izamal. We were lucky to discover Macanche Bed and Breakfast. Upon entering the front gate, you find yourself in tropical setting with footpaths that take you to the individual bungalows and the natural rock pool, where you can swim or relax in a shaded...

My husband and I stayed at this b&b over the Christmas holidays. It is an oasis in the sweet little colonial town of Izamal. Accommodations were very nice, the grounds are lush and lovely, and the innkeepers are the perfect hosts. The rates are more than reasonable, and breakfast is included with your stay. The innkeepers will even cook you...

Izamal, Yucatan MacanChe Hotel Band B Extremely agreeable band b with rooms scattered in Cabanas around a tropical garden but within easy walking distance of a historic colonial city centre, market, convent, and Mayan sites all nicely manageable. American run, ample breakfasts, a lovely if small pool in the garden, and excellent value @ 30-60 US$ pn, even without the...
