We needed a pretty cheap place to stay on Holbox since due to our travel arrangements it would overlap with other places we had to pay for, so a $100/night room was out of the question. We got the private room here and it fit all the needs. From the start the staff is super friendly and really a pleasure...

The hostel is a gem. All spaces very well maintained and it is generally clean. I would suggest to avoid the shared bathroom dorms and they have only one toilet at the ground used by everybody. The other dorms are decent in size with a little balcony to hang your stuff. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. Every...

I love the beach, and I love socializing with travelers, but I also like my privacy. This hostel has all of that. At 32, I thought I was done with hostels until I experienced the Tribu. They have very cheap shared rooms, and reasonably priced private rooms. If you stay at any of the beach hotels down the road, you're...

A great hostel filled with travelers from all over the world. Everybody loves hanging out in the hammock chairs and many visit the bar upstairs for the evening's entertainment. Friendly staff ensure you have what you need. You'll probably need to pay a deposit in advance to secure a reservation, but the place is often full, so always a good...

Its not often one can't really complain about anything in perticular (see my other reviews) but in this case there was no lack of facilities, knowledge from staff or activities. The last part, the activities, was a really positive plus and surprice from a hostel in a non-supercompetitive area (like europe or the states). They're doing free spanishlessons, free salsalessons,...

I had a fantastic 3 day stay at Tribu. The staff are really friendly and the communal areas are very welcoming. An extremely organised and clean kitchen made it easy to cook my own food. The beach was right around the corner and I made a ritual of watching the sun set every day. The hostel is extremely social and...

Such a cool, peaceful and friendly place to spend your time in Holbox... The dorms were comfortable (albeit a little hot in February), hot water showers, fantastic kitchen and communal deck... Can't think of a single thing they could have done to make it any cooler... Definitely deserving of the number 1 spot on Trip Advisor for Holbox.
