For our fall break we wanted to take a last tropical vacation with our girls since we will be leaving Mexico end of the year. After a round tour in Merida we arrived very tired to Holbox and to casa Takywara. Since our first room was kind of small we were lucky to move to a bigger room the second...

This was our second year in a row staying a Casa Takywara and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as last year. It is a short walk along the beach to town yet seems like a world away. We have explored the island quite a bit over the last few years and in my opinion this stretch of beach...

First off my GF and I never got to stay at Takywara but we had the privilege of the same manager and motel clerk. I spent some time here to surf the net and have a couple cervical from this Casa. Also was permitted to use loungers an showers as a guest of Casa Luz next door. Why im writing...

Wonderful five room hotel right on the beach. Large comfortable rooms with convenient kitchenette and private balcony sitting area. Fresh fruit, bread and jam delivered directly to your room in the morning. Julio is the consummate innkeeper and cannot do enough to insure that all your needs are met. Easy 10-15 minute walk to the center of town.

We were well taken care of but also left in peace! Perfecto! A beautiful location away from the center but an easy jaunt down the beach to get to town and restaurants. The beach was awesome and the staff made sure our questions were answered and that we were able to do everything we wanted. I woukd go back in...

We have just returned from this very cool small boutique hotel on an incredible old-Mexico feel island! We were well taken care of by both Julio and Loupe at the hotel. They are definitely priceless assets to this establishment! Anytime we needed help or information these two gentlemen stepped up. Can't really say enough about them! Now on to the...

Fantastic location, really special spot, quiet, surrounded by mangroves swamp, private beach (sort of, public has access but no one goes). Caution: Don't take a trip to Isla Holbox is whale shark tours are your priority - check beforehand whether tours are running as they weren't whilst we were there. Isla Holbox can be compared to Caye Caulker 10years ago,...

We had an excellent stay! The rooms exceeded expectations- super clean but also very relaxing, large and nicely laid out. Breakfast was perfectly done, not too large but fresh and delicious. The hotel owner was extremely accommodating, even making phone calls on our behalf since our American cell phones didn't work in Mexico. The location is slightly further from the...

This review is a few months in the making. My wife and I went there on part two of our honeymoon. We stayed in the "Penthouse" for 8 nights. The location of the hotel is quite excellent. Close enough to town where one can easily walk and far enough that it is not always so crowded. The breakfast is simple...
