I have staid 5 nights in the hostel . Price / quality is great value. The dorm is big and spacious. There is a communcal are with TV inside the dorm and a bathroom with two showers, two toilettes and two sinks. The communcal area is very cosy and has a family feel. There is also a communal eating area...

This was my third time staying at Casa Maya and this time I stayed for 9 weeks. Hubby joined me after 7 weeks. This quaint and quiet Mayan bed and breakfast with 5 rooms is a home away from home, not noisy as the larger hotels. Casa means house, and that it is, very homey and tranquil, and it has extended...

This hotel has being a bad experience for me. They offered a contiental brekfast and they didn't have any in the 2 days I staied here. The rooms are ok, but the bed looks really dirty. If you wanto to rest forget about it, there is a night club next to the hotel and you here the "bum" "bum" from...

Casa Maya was wonderful, although it took me a few days to become comfortable with the set-up. The rooms are located off of a central living area and kitchen which is shared by the staff. The rooms are kept very clean by a wonderful woman (who also did my laundry) and the air-conditioning was refreshing after a long day in...

I believe in being very candid when I write a review. How else am I going to help a future traveler? Here's the deal. If you're looking for a Marriott this is not the place for you. Of course if you're looking for a chain hotel Isla Holbox is not for you either. So we have that out of the...

This hotel is right next door to several hotels, one much more expensive, the other similarly priced...I would recommend this hotel highly except for the fact that when the owner isn't present (which was the case for our first 3 days) the common kitchen and living room were very dirty. It is a combination hotel/camping facility and as such has...

We have been staying at Jose' Lima's resort's for the last 12 years. His original resort on Isla Mujere's is where we first stayed and began our relationship (you just don't stay here, you become friends). This new resort on Holbox is equally as charming and remote. It is like stepping back in time to a simpilar relaxing life. Casa Maya is right on the beach. Tent costs only $ 10.-/night. Extremely friendly staff. Only thing not so good: toilets and showers in the shared bathroom for campers don't give much privacy. They have curtains instead of doors and they just fly with the wind.

This is a great place to stay as long as it's not during a holiday day. They have a kitchen you can cook in (minimally) and great rooms. Wonderful staff. The only problem is that there's a bar next door and when they make noise, they make noise. We had to use earplugs. However, that doesn't happen very often it...

I stayed at Casa Maya Hotel this summer and it was a wonderful experience. The rate was great find. I found an excellent promotion on yucatantoday.com and decided to visit the island. It was a great surprise to find the hotel located right on the beach and next to the piers where I took my tours. I do recommend this...
