The hotel is in a great spot with amazing views and beach. The rooms are very colourful, clean and well furnished, if a little too 'over-decorated' in places. The staff are generally very helpful and we very much enjoyed our time here. The food and in particular the guacamole is really good. Although we thought the breakfast could be improved...

I can not recommend this laid back but still elegant hotel enough. The staff at this resort are all so kind and go above and beyond to be helpful. I contacted them about a month before my arrival that I have severe celiac disease and can not eat food that has even come in contact with gluten. They promptly responded...

Villas Flamingos is, without a doubt, the best choice of resort on Holbox island. Further away from the backpackers in town but only a five minute golf-cart ride to restaurants and bars. The staff are friendly and the rooms, at least the two we booked as a family, were gorgeous. The beach bar is well stocked and the bartenders chatty...

We spent a week here with a large, age-diverse group and had a fantastic experience, from arrival through to departure. The kids, ages 6 thorough 10, had at least as much fun as the grown-ups (ages 35 through 70, fwiw). A very special shout-out to Jahir and "Conejo" for being so kind and accommodating to all of us all week....

This was my boyfriend and I's first time to Holbox and could not have had a better experience at Villa Flamingos. Aurelio, from the hotel restaurant truly made our trip, as he gave us his personal tips on what to do around the island. Manny the bellboy was also so helpful during our stay, not just at check in. The...

This was my 12th trip to Isla Holbox, and while the island is no longer undiscovered, it is still a lovely restful place to visit. My friend and I have stayed at Villas Flamingos 10 times and we still love it. The owner Alejandro Canedo, is usually at the hotel and always greets guests and asks about what, if anything,...

This was our tenth trip to Isla Holbox. In the past three years the population has exploded! If one was to walk in the center of town in the middle of the day three years ago, you would be the only thing moving. Now the dogs can no longer be found sleeping in the streets. Constant activity all day and...

We spent one week here, a good first floor room overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, idyllic! Friendly, pleasant staff serving GOOD cocktails & good food. Pancho & his ladies were very entertaining (iguanas). Easy trip into town, walk or golf carts.

Because Holbox island is a bit of a "Planes, Trains, and Ferry" destination, it remains a under "developed" gem of a relaxation beach vacation. The unique location of the barrier island on the North Yucatan Peninsula provides a fabulous beach experience. The morning out tide provides the opportunity to walk miles 100+ yards off the beach, along the ocean sand...
