The cottages are located it seems like at the end of the world. Views are amazing, reminds me of being in secluded Newfoundland a little. The cottages are very old and slant and creaky but they have a lot of character. The customer service was very good in the end. We stayed in one of the beach houses and to... More

We didn't meet Elke as she was away on vacation, but her mother Marie took care of us, even bringing us homemade potato pancakes. In our several email exchanges, Elke came across as a sweet, charming person. We learned in conversations with others during our week there that she's also a savvy businessperson who has achieved remarkable success in a... More

Before leaving home I checked my visa account and saw that the Harbourville had already put in their charge for payment which made me livid! Upon arrival we were shown our apartment above the restaurant - we had no T.V., no internet, no extra toilet paper since the one there did not have much left and the bathroom was not... More

We stayed three nights in August 2016, this is a very quiet out of the way place with great views of the bay of fundy, the house we stayed in was over 100 years old and had lots of character, wood burning fireplace. We really liked it but it is old with some uneven floors a few spiders and flys,... More

45 minutes from the univesity town of Wolfville in the Annapolis Valley, this lovely series of cottages that is literally at the end of the road (right on the Bay of Fundy) is a world removed from the hustle and bustle of modern life. Mind you, we had (free) WiFi, fine food and the comforts of home ... but we... More

A beautiful, tranquil setting on the Bay of Fundy with people to match. We only stayed for a night but were made to feel as if we were family. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and spacious. Wonderful food at the Schnitzelhaus and Elke was very helpful in cooking the lobsters that we bought locally. Our whole family decided that this... More

We booked in for two nights in July 2015 to give our friends from BC a taste of small village Nova Scotia. Our choices were made on the website pictures and testimonials, the majority of which were positive. I noticed that the charges to our VISA went through almost two weeks before our stay! Upon arrival at the "resort" as... More

We were booked into one of these cottages...when I made the reservations I thought the price was a bit steep at $139 pernight but because it was right on the ocean and had a full kitchen I rationalized that we might save money by being able to prepare some of our own food etc. When we arrived I was shocked... Harbourville is a mostly undiscovered gem on the Bay of Fundy coast. There are no tour buses and no gift shop - just a perfect little harbour with colourful, weathered cottages and one very good restaurant, especially if you've had one too many seafood dinners! We've eaten in the Schnitzelhaus a couple of times but this time we couldn't resist... More

A few weeks ago, we enjoyed a delicious authentic German dinner, followed by a sunset walk on a beach of smooth pebbles and stones. The cottage was close to the shore, cozy, clean and quirky. The next morning, we enjoyed the beach in sunlight with a very different shoreline thanks to changes of the world's highest tides. It was out... More
