We stayed in your gorgeous barge from 28/30 December to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This unusual location was perfect for a romantic break and we had an amazing time with you. From start to finish, we just loved it. The staff could not have been more friendly and they looked after us superbly. Our room was gorgeous. The views were...

We got a really good deal on itison for a night on the barge, bottle of wine and sweets on arrival. This was really good value for money. The hotel is small and very well decorated, all modern and clean decor. The barge boat was very quirky, beautifully decorated and cosey. We had the best room on board and the...

We had missed the ferry to the Island of Islay and decided to stop here the night. Tarbert is a lovely harbour village with a couple of pubs, restaurants, cafes, supermarket, art galleries etc. We arrived on the Sunday evening at the end of a weekend of a music festival and the place was pumping and we had a great...

Stayed over at the Anchor for the first time on Wednesday night having disembarked from the 8pm Islay ferry. There was a pleasant atmosphere emanating from the Seabed Restaurant adjacent to the reception. The check in was quick, efficient and helpful. I had assistance with bags to my room. The room was clean and comfy...what more do you need for...

The Anchor Hotel is pleasantly situated beside the harbour in Tarbert. The bedroom was quite small but adequate and enjoyed a view of the fishing port and comfy enough for one night en route to get the Islay Ferry (15 minutes away) early next morning. Also not too dear at £120 for a double room for the night.

Myself and my partner were here for the Tarbert Music Festival and visited a few times over the three days. We ate in the hotel twice and saw some live music into the bargain. The food was of exceptional quality and the staff were superb particularly Louise, nothing was too much trouble. We are already planning a return visit.
