We stayed on the barge through an itison deal, including wine and chocolates on arrival. The barge is beautiful inside, finished to a high standard with everything you could need. There is a very slight damp smell which is to be expected, dehumidifiers are in the rooms and hallway to help this, it didn't affect our stay at all. On arrival...

We have stayed in Tarbert in rented accommodation on a few occasions however when I saw The Anchor Hotel had a converted barge docked in the harbour I was intrigued. We were certainly not disappointed. The barge has been fitted to an extremely high standard and the views are stunning. The bottle of wine and chocolate treats on arrival are...

We ended up in Tarbert last Friday after driving to Claonaig for a ferry that did not exist. We could not face the drive back to Glasgow so decided to stay the night and travel the next morning. The hotel were able to give us a family room which was lovely and looked out over the harbour, it had been...
