Stayed at Bluebell Cottage for two nights when we visited Islay. Very friendly welcome from Graham. Nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. We had an early start after our first night so, didn't have breakfast but, we did partake of a locely continental style breakfast on our second day. Graham knows the area well and is...

Warm and welcoming despite the winter weather, excellent host and comfortable beds with spotless room. Breakfast was delicious (I am rather particular about my toast and found it perfect) I'd advise the west loch hotel for dinner, excellent for a veggie and a venison eater

We stayed at Bluebell Cottage for a couple of nights and really enjoyed ourselves. It's bright and clean, good breakfasts too. We used this as our base to visit Arran, Tarbert and then Islay. The West Loch Hotel, just down the road, serves a very good meal. Regarding cost (per the category below) I've indicated 'budget' only because I believe...

Overall: stopped in for one night of rest before catching the early ferry, and it was a great value for the cost. Hospitality and Food: the host was very kind to wait up for us. We were making a long drive from Edinburgh that evening and missed one of the last ferries that connect the various peninsulas in this area,...

This B&B was a real gold mine of a find. It was less than 2 minutes from the ferry to Islay and the accommodations were amazing. Clean, comfortable, spacious and beautiful, it was a total win. We will be staying here again for sure!

We stayed at the B&B for two nights and loved everything about it. You can arrive any time you like, and we were even allowed to sleep in. The rooms are all very clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable, there's tea & coffee in the room. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, as well. Graham is a lovely host, helped...

Bluebell Cottage was perfect for what we needed - a comfortable welcome after a long drive from Edinburgh and before taking the morning ferry to Islay. The rooms are large and clean. It's a fairly easy drive into Tarbert for your evening meal.

A true B&B gem next to the terminal for the ferry sailing to Islay. Spacious, well-equipped, comfortable, lovingly decorated rooms. A good night guaranteed. In the morning you'll get a light breakfast consisting of fresh fruit (including berries! ), cereals, toast and tea/coffee - the perfect start into the day. We were welcomed by the very friendly owner, who provided...

Our party of 7 friends stayed here for a night after a trip to Islay, and enjoyed our stay tremendously. We had previously stayed in a hostel and all shared a room in Islay and though that was definitely adequate, staying in this B&B in three separate rooms altogether (most with ensuite bathrooms) felt like a real luxury in comparison....
