My wife and I stayed there on a Friday and Saturday night. There are three rooms for double occupancy that over look the small but totally charming plaza. Since it is a small hotel these three rooms are the best the hotel has to offer. It only has one star because there is no restaurant and no elevator but does...

We followed Rick Steve's advice that this "small fishing village" would be a good oplace to stay between San Sebastion and Bilboa. Hondarribia is 1)not small, 2)has multiple ways of spelling it, making it hard to follow signs. We were tired and frustrated and found a parking place, right next to the Hotel Placete sign. We had never heard of...

In the middle of the old part of the town, at a very quiet location you can find this wonderful hotel. It is situated at an old square with beautiful houses, and one of the most beautiful is the hotel itself. We had a very nice room that had a balcony overlooking the square, and even though there were quite...

Great little hotel with a beautiful view onto a main square. Quiet location and interesting rooms set in a gatehouse with a beautiful winding old staircase. Excellent breakfasts served al fresco in the patio courtyard. Excellent place to stay.

Beautiful and excellent hotel in a small square with easy access to all there is to see in Hondarribia. Very friendly staff, who will go out of their way to help and give directions. Extremely clean and nicely decorated rooms. Very good breakfast.

Hondarribia is divided in two...the upper town and the lower town. Upper town is older and traffic free and is where you must find your way to the Hotel Palacete. Our GPS failed us here, but an amazingly nice local man walked in front of our car and led us to the door of the hotel. Parking is a little...

What's more charming than touring an old walled city? Staying in a castle on the square which has all the modern conveniences and very nice service. We got the room with the big window overlooking the square which is a noisy playground around 5 pm when the kids get out of school and all the moms sit in a cafe...

Situated in a beautiful square in the old town, this small family-run hotel provided an excellent and very friendly service at a reasonable price. A short walk from restaurants in the town, both within the walls and outside. The beach at Hendaye is recommended accessed by frequent ferry service.

We had a very nice room on the top floor overlooking one of the two plazas in the old city. The building is beautiful ancient building in the old city, very nicely renovated and with all modern conveniences. The staff really bent over backwards to help us get settled in and then get to the airport on time the next...
