A wonderful location, perhaps a little hard to find with your GPS, but don't worry, the friendly staff will guide you there. Parking is a nightly charge and the lot is a bit small, there is a lift to the top of the outdoor grounds. The interior is sensational, as was the view from our immaculate room. They offer a...

This is a lovely Paradour an hour or so up the coast from Bilbao. It sits right on the French Spanish border in Spain and has lovely rooms, a quiet and calm ambience, disturbed only occasional by aircraft taking off or landing at the nearby airport. Don't let this put you off as the old town is lovely and the...

The Parador is very nice located and the rooms with sea view are well equipped. Beds are comfortable, some german TV chanels but Wifi is catastrophic weak. Not possible to work with it. Safe parking is beside the hotel for 16€ but you will get no help with the luggage or to park your car. Breakfast was OK, but not...

Beautiful setting, and historic building, but facilities are rather limited, outdated and do not offer competitive value for money. Service seemed almost absent. No warm welcome at reception, which was rather short. We had to struggle upstairs with all of our luggage alone. Room was well appointed, but the beds seemed old and were very uncomfortable. Wifi slow. Breakfast was...

Lovely experience. Right in the heart of the old town. So much history in the parador. The setting overlooking the river estuary. I can't fault anything about our visit. It's like going back centuries, but with all me cons. Car park is a little difficult to find right in the middle of the old town with tiny streets and difficult...

A fantastic old castle with all the modern trimmings, located in the older part of town, narrow cobblestone streets, lovely restaurants overlooking France. Definitely 10 out of 10, no hesitation of staying here again.

We had looked at google maps and found our way easily to the Parador parking. We followed the Parador signs and found the narrow road leading to the castle. The parking fee is 16 euros and worth it. We were offered an upgrade for 40 euros and took it. It was a hefty upgrade fee compared to other paradors. The...

The Hondarribia Parador is a spectacular old castle on a hill overlooking the river and on a small square in the old town. The new town and seafront promenade are only a short walk away. The rooms and public rooms inside are comfortable and full of character. We would happily return.

This was a perfect stop, set up above and out of the traffic and congestion that characterizes the drive from France into Spain. Fortunately the winding twisting route from town up into the old medieval quarter is well marked. Once you reach the square in front of the Parador, go in and have someone describe how to get around back...

This is a beautiful restored castle domineering this little town. It simply oozes history. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. When found (due to roadworks in the town) the car parking facilities are well worth it. There was plenty of choice and nice food for breakfast served in a lovely room overlooking the courtyard which in warmer times...
