We stayed here for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. It is a lovely building in the upper part of the town of Modica. The roads are narrow and parking places seemed non-existant but the hotel staff took our car away and parked it in their garage for us. The reception staff were helpful and extremely knowledgeable... The facilities aren't the best but if you are in for a more classic palace style hotel, this is a remarkable experience. The rooms in the main building are with high ceilings and well decorated in the style of the town.

We stayed at the hotel at the last minute...we had left our previous place a night early...enough said! This hotel was extraordinary: the staff, the rooms, everything. And their restaurant, La Locanda, I can't recommend it highly enough. We wished we could have stayed longer! Go there if you're staying in Modica

We stayed here for three days whilst exploring the area between Modica and Noto. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, valet parking the car even though we arrived very late. The rooms and public areas of the hotel are grand and elegant, and everything was spot on. Their restaurant, across the road, is outstanding, we had a couple of... More

Agree with all the positive reviews. The staff really do make this hotel stand out. We had no problems finding it. We were too late for lunch but they very generously opened the cafe for us to have coffee and cake and see us through till our evening meal. Our room was in the annex above the restaurant, the grey... More

We were booked in the Deluxe Green junior suite in this lovely boutique hotel. This room has two balconies and was the original master bedroom. Most welcoming and helpful staff we have encountered anywhere. They made sure the car was parked close to the hotel. Their restaurant, just down the street, was outstanding-Locanda de Colonnello. They also made a special acknowledgement... More

This hotel offered old world charm but with very modern feel. There is a very nice bar/café attached with a choice of sitting indoors or out. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed a great night's sleep after a full day of walking. The young lady working the front desk, Laura, was amazing & so helpful. She even walked with... More

The hotel is a beautiful eighteenth century building at the top of this lovely hill town in south-eastern Sicily. We were accommodated in a first-floor annexe, which was just as attractive, with luxuriously furnished and spacious rooms and a private terraced area outside. The hotel staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Food and service in the hotel's restaurant were excellent. We... More

Located in the upper and oldest part of Modica, this hotel is really very nice, live up to expectations. The staff is friendly and helpful tips for visits, restaurants and so on. The rooms are lovely, genuine antique Sicilian style. In high Modica area there are a few restaurants (close to the hotel there is a good restaurant called La... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Palazzo Failla Hotel is a four star hotel, located in a beautiful XVIII century building, not an unusual example in Modica indeed, which has been perfectly restored thanks to local skilled craftsmen. The Faillas, showing the typical hospitality of their land, decided to open their house to their guests. The exclusive furniture and refined decorations will give the final touch to an unforgettable stay. Palazzo Failla Hotel is located in Modica Alta, in Via Blandini, near two of the most beautiful architectural examples in Modica, such as St. George's Cathedral and the Earls' Castle. It's an ideal starting point to visit both Modica and the whole area ... more   less
