The building complex of san claudio is a spectacular place in itself. Being able to sleep there is an unexpected bonus. The hotel is litterally wall to wall with one of the most beautiful Church of the region. It is well kept, although places constant renovation, the personnel is very helpful and accommodating. We were allowed to bring our mutt... More

A quiet, unique place to stay in a wing of a medieval abbey with the free use of bicycles. It is adjacent to a protected low-traffic, well-marked route that takes you to other important medieval churches. The surrounding farm lands are largely flat for this bicycling. Some rooms have a dormitory feel to them, so it is worth upgrading to... More

Hotel is located in a very nice and quiet place, very close to nice city of Macerata. Hotel staff was o.k., but not exceptionally friendly. Our room was very small, but for one night acceptable. Breakfast is worth mentioning, because for a three star hotel it was a lot to choose from and the breakfast room was inside and outside,... More

The hotel is a very fascinating old brick structure, located in a calm and green area and near a romanic abbey. The stay was very plesant, but you need to have a car, because it is about 7-8 kms from the city of Macerata. In case you are travelling by car and want to stay away from the crowded coast... More

It is a part of beautiful and unrecognized San Claudio medieval church. It is a secluded, quiet place: 10 minutes from Macerata; 20 minutes from Civitanova Marche. The hotel is very quiet and restful. The staff is very kind, neighbourly and affable. Very good and abundant breakfast (for a ***star hotel). Free car parking. My room was fairly clean and... More

Friendly staff. Comfortable room with air conditioning which worked in spite of the heatwave! We did not dine there in the evening the breakfast was adequate. Fifteen minutes from town if going to the opera, which was our prime purpose. Local bar in B&B opposite seems to be open late 01:30 hrs Good Wi Fi. Attached chapel worth a visit.... More

We spent 5 nights in San Claudio with a group of 30 cycling-friends from Belgium. We enjoyed the nice rooms, the fine restaurant and the bar, but what we will remember the most was the friendly and professional staff. Thanks to Lucca (hotel) and Andrea (restaurant) for all the extra attention ! Marianne (Gent, Belgium)

A local friend recommended this hotel after the farmstay we had booked the night before phoned the next morning to say they could not accept our reservation as clients from Booking.com took precedence!! At the end though we felt we had more advantages staying at San Claudio because of its proximity to Macerata and the freeway. The hotel opened for... More

Lovely Hotel in the back of a centuries old Abbey. Staff is wonderful, particularly Fabrizio who checked us in upon our late arrival in the evening, rooms spacious, clean and with all amenities. Didn't have the continental breakfast so can't comment on that. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed when we were there, to our disappointment. The only black mark is... More

Not counting the wonderful restaurant within this hotel, Hotel San Claudio was a very welcomed stop on our 10 day trip in Italy. This was our first time in Italy and we spent about 2 nights in each location. San Claudio was our second stop. Beautiful countryside, lovely rooms, national parks nearby. Ok, now the food! Wow, the restaurant within... More
