A very nice hotel. We arrived, parked easily in the courtyard, and went in .. the reception is "manned" by two very friendly ladies, who run on your bell ring and fill you up with all necessary info and some jokes to round it off.. The room is ample, very good fixtures and furniture, great wide balcony with seats and...

.... But not even the words worst! Good place for business trip. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. Easy to reach from the Switzerland border. It's not cheap but it's aligned to the average prices of the other hotels

At first glance of this hotel's website, I though it would be a rather industrial, business type of hotel. How wrong I was! We arrived after a hot day's cycle and were greeted very warmly by the lady of the house. Our stay was very comfortable, the room was immaculate, the food was excellent and we had a very enjoyable...

Been several times, standards have never slipped. In a quiet residential area it can be hard to find the first time. In a car approach via Basler Str. west of town, at traffic lights by McDonalds head up the side street towards the cemetery (Friedhof)/ away from business area and turn right at the garden centre. If you know the...

Stayed here for a couple of nights on business. Usually use the Goldener Knopf which is more central. Although this is slightly less well appointed, it is much quieter than the GK as you can't hear the church bell which always woke me every hour. It is a family run hotel and they are very friendly and the continental breakfast...

This hotel satisfies the three main requirements in that it's quiet, comfortable and clean. To that can be added the nice welcome on arrival. Some reviewers have criticised it for being dated, but the room we had was spacious and nicely furnished with just the bathroom fittings looking a little tired in places (and the yellow floor tiles in the...

I have stayed at this hotel for approximately 12 months over the last two and a half years. The staff and the owners, Mr & Mrs Adler, are, without exception, always very polite and helpful and many of them have been at the hotel for many years. The hotel is located away from the centre of the town but still...

“All rooms are quiet, most overlook a school games field or neighbours gardens. The more expensive rooms at the front are bigger with views towards Switzerland.”

“This is a quiet residential area so there are no noise problems - a room with a balcony maybe better.”
