Very well placed spot above the city centre (20minutes walk) so its very calm and has an astonishing view. Owner are very kind, helpful and always intersted if you feel comfortable. Rooms were cleaned, especially we recomend to book the room "with best view", you will definitely not regret to spent money for this. Breakfest is served at the next to room. great place with view to the mountains for you!

The very peaceful location where I could watch the fire flies af night time and listen to the incredible wildlife. The room was spacious, with lots of places to spread out luggage items. Breakfast was tasty and it was just a short tuk tuk ride to Ella

A perfect stay in Ella. Just 1km away from the railway station. The view from the homestay is amazing. The family owned well maintained place at a budget price. 5 rooms are available in the homestay and can accomodate 11 people comfy but upto 15 people can manage it.
We group of friends stayed a night there and they arranged our lunch upon our request and they had every kitchen needs including a plates, tea cups, knifes, spoons etc. to prepare us our dinner. Also they arranged a campfire and help us in every way. Rooms are fabulous views and we didnt expect that much according to the budget price. All rooms had attached bathrooms with hot water showers. We spent there relaxed and had a great expirence. Worth to visit. Recommend it.

One of the best places we've been in Sri Lanka. When we arrived we found a super clean and tidy room that had a fantastic scent. The host, is an amazing person that helped us a lot and a terrific chef. For the three days we were there, we had some of the best breakfast that we had in Sri Lanka. This stay is quite different from all the others we have been to. We are a couple who travel a lot and we have made 30,000 km with a scouter in two years of stay in Sri Lanka. Can you guess in how many places we have been accomodated? This is the one where you will feel like home thanks to the quiet, comfortable rooms and the great hospitality of the host. Me and two of my friends wanted to travel without a proper plan. We started from Colombo to Tissa in 1st day. Early in the next morning, we thought to visit Ella even though we have been there so many times. This place was suggested by one of my cousins. We reached there around 5 pm. Before coming to the cottage we went to the Thanamalvila area and Demodara. The scenery of the outside, once we entered the cottage, was unbelievable. we waited there more than 30 minutes before going to the room. The room was fantastic. It was clean and well managed. The washrooms are also clean. We stayed there in the night and the next day we left for "Kombukkara Nature Pool" and ellawala waterfall. Vajira who is the owner of the property can cook very tasty. But he was a bit lazy to cook. We tasted his string hoppers with Dhal curry and Coconut sambola which were delicious. You can try this property at a reasonable price. I can highly recommend this place to stay.

The best place to stay. Calm and quiet place. Spacious room with new architectural patterns. Which I never seen before. The room smells good. Enough facilities and comfy bed. Delicious Srilankan breakfast. Friendly staff. The surrounding is beautiful. All over green paddy fields, tea states and rare birds and animals such as deers, peacocks, rabbits.etc.,If you like, you can walk, you can meditate. I recommend anyone who likes to spend your leisure time you can select this place in Ella.
