We visited the hotel in December 2019. The hotel is located on the highway opposite Vishwakarma Ghat. The hotel is decent one with well managed reception counter. The room was very neat and clean.
Hot water was available in the bathroom. The intercom was not working however it was informed to us initially and we were given mobile number for the room service. The room service was also prompt.
The food was also of good, priced slightly higher however one may select combo dishes from the menu which are reasonably priced. The Har ki Baavdi, the place where the Ganga Aarti is performed is just a few kilometer from the hotel. We were there for just one night and were satisfied with the service of the hotel.

We stayed here for two days. We didn’t feel it as hotel to be called as three star. Its not having central A/C. Window ACs don’t work properly. After a great follow up, one maintenance engineer visited our room & tried to fix the problem. But, it didn’t solve the problem.

Windows in few of the rooms are very small. Food is not good.

Only advantage is this hotel is located just in front of diverted stream of Ganga but away from Har Ki Pauri. You can’t have look of Ganga from every rooms.

Overall experience was not good.

Ganges Rivera is a very good hotel situated opposite to Ganga River on Delhi-Haridwar bypass road. The rooms are spacious, pure vegetarian food. Staff was hospitile. I would recommend everyone to visit this hotel once.

Dear sir / ma'am

I don't want to write a review about your stay infact I'll write because ur services are very poor and staff doesn't even know how to talk to the customer, government officials even to a common man also.

As it's a high time for corona crisis also kindly circulate the information and rules related to haridwar district.

Talking about ur staff they talk irrelevant, misbehave and they don't even cooperate a little bit.

It's a request to the hotel owner kindly give us some staff so that they can give a little bit of respect to the customers.

Earlier i don't want to book a room based on previous reviews of customer but i think let's give a try once and the negative reviews are totally valued by me and the same they are doing to every customer.

So it's a request again to look into this matter.
As I'm requesting other's also that never ever stay in this hotels not even once.

Hoping for the positive response from ur side !

Regards
Once your customer !!!

The room we booked had a service of pick up and drop from the railway/bus station, but the hotel staff made different excuses on the call and later when they came to know our arrival time, they just said they'll only be able to provide a pick up one hour after we've reached. So we arranged our own transport.

Morning tea was included in the charges but during check out they asked for the payment for the morning tea as we did not order anything else from their restaurant, everything was overpriced. The reason they gave was free tea was given only if we ordered before 8 AM. This was never mentioned to us earlier, neither in the booking nor verbally by the staff.

The rooms were so-so for the amount they charged. Regretted paying in advance for all 3 days we were there.

We did not even bother asking for the drop service after all this.

Won't visit again.

Terrible hotel; we stay for 3 day in this hotel, and this hotel is booked by our company so for us is free but on free also this hotel is terrible. They don't clean the room daily. Service is also very poor. They don't have lock room also for our out things after checkout. I don't to refer any one in this. Very bad service in this hotel.

I stayed there for 1 day although I had initially booked it for 2 days. It was a bad experience. I had gone out for some sightseeing in Haridwar but returned quite early as it was too hot outside, only to see few guys smoking inside my room when I opened the door. It had never happened to me before anywhere else. So I asked them to vacate, kept my bag and went down to the reception and told them that the floor was full of of cigarette ashes and needed to be cleaned. One of the staff said, "you might have smoked sir". They cleaned it only when I told them which guys were responsible for that. Later I found out that there are bugs in the bed. I just couldn't tolerate another day there. It was easily the worst hotel that I have stayed in.

Location of the hotel is good, rooms are a bit small, no cleaning in the rooms, lobby is good, clean, the staff is very rude, they don't listen, and just keep the phone on hold and dare care for customers request, the hotel is run like a family business not at all professional, specially Mr re upadhaya gm, who thinks that he is the boss, and whatever he says is right, no bosses around to complaint, and on asking nobody would give you the numbers of the top brass to talk to, all staff are trained as what ever the gm says is right, room service calls are routed in three way conversation, I.e. You speak to room service people, and Mr upadhaya also is in between the calls, I.e. Three way call, as when you place the order you hear two voices one from room service and other from fm, really shocking, and on asking upadhaya says this is our way of working, on the contrary he went on to have a argument for no reason where he was not involved. The house keeping does not have adequate supplies, I.e. Pillow covers, bed sheets, etc, when asked, was informed that it is still under laundry, and will take time, which never came.
