Stayed at Casa Umoja in January and loved it from the moment we arrived. Relaxed, clean, quiet, good value and a stones throw away from the beach, perfect! The manager Mansoor was really helpful and looked after us brilliantly, the breakfasts were delicious especially the freshly made fruit juices- which where different every morning depending on the fresh fruit available....

Just came home from Zanzibar..and casa from hell .. I have been traveling a lot..and stayed in many guesthouses and casas ..and always been happy about it:) This one is awful. We paid for a luxury bandana in the garden..and when I see the nice reviews here I wonder if we were scammed..the room was just awful..it was very dirty...

My wife and I stayed at Casa Umoja for 2 nights at the end of July and had friends in 2 other rooms. We dealt with Simona(owner) and she was fantastic. The price charged could be much higher but thankfully it is not. Our room was large and clean with tonnes of space to hang your clothes. The grounds were...

We stayed at Casa Umoja in low season and found it was certainly much cheaper than almost all other accommodation in Nungwi and of a good standard. The people there are all very friendly and willing to help you out with anything and you can arrange tours at a good price through the guest house. The only criticisms were that...

I have stayed at Casa Umoja twice now, in 2010 and in 2011 and we have truly enjoyed it. The owner is very friendly. He looks after us as if we were his relatives. The location is brilliant and it is good value for money as Nungwi is generally quite expensive. We will be back again for sure.

Casa Umoja is a small, quiet and friendly place to stay at. Mustafa and his staff are doing a great job. Mustafa was very welcoming. He arranged for a cab to come and pick us up at the airport. He also took all of us out (6 people) so that we could go and watch dolphins. When we came home...

No hot water then no water, bed bugs, begging dogs, and half assed staff... Be careful! (apparently it runs better when the owners are around)

Stayed here in spring 2010. Looks nice at first glance. We managed to get a good deal since we went to Zanzibar during the rain season. The guys that owned the place was not there and the guys that was looking out for the place were ok but a bit lazy. They liked to relax. A lot. Regarding the rooms...
